If you have an e-ticket and are excited about Suso i suggest you look at highlights from the Exeter pre-season game. He was spraying some wonderful passes around in the middle of the park and by passing players with ease...

the clips ive seen of him so far so look very much like that Banega Youtube clip that was doing the rounds

Behave Oncy.
Yer ma. One screamer followed by 3 games of giving the ball away constantly and not tracking back. Shite.
You shut your god damn lie hole right now!

even though you're right about the inconsistency, he was still great on his day and i'd still love him!
He annoyed me more than he wowed me though.

A lazy showboater IMHO. As regards still loving him - where is he now?

It seems Susu and Sterling will be playing for the Reserves and Roy is going to give Pacheco a chance in the first team. Fingers crossed!
Wonder where Dalla Valle will end up? In the reserves?

Yeah, I'd love another lazy showboater who consistently scores in the double figures every season. What a passenger he was. Luis Garcia was inventive. Frustrating, yes, but if you're going to try something different, you can't expect it to come off every time. Frankly, I'm surprised people are so scathing of him given that he was instrumental in our only major success of the last three decades.

Plus it was hardly our ONLY major success. We have won about 4 Fa cups and a Uefa cup in the past 30 years Del.
I'll concede that he was terrific in Europe and OFTEN made the difference in those games, but he spent 90% of all league games doing the best part of fuck all......fuck all except making me want to eviscerate him.

Whatever happened to the 'wunderkid' Raheem Sterling ?
He played against Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday.

Just watched the highlights of the Tranmere game and, yes, Suso does look class. I also thought Thomas Ince seemed an intelligent winger with a very good left foot - that's the first time I've seen him. Anyone got a view based on more matches? Toni Silva is clearly an exciting talent, while David Amoo - though fast and skilful - is not a natural striker.

To be honest I hadn't paid much attention to Suso until this recent buzz. And based on that minimal knowledge I'm going to go crazy and say he's the best midfielder we've had in the academy since Stevie G. He looks ridiculously good. Some of his passing was Alonsoesque. If this guy doesn't make it, it isn't through lack of talent.

Silva had NO brain when I saw him.

One bad game (where he got plaudits from others). Give him a break.

The Suso lad is amazing for his age and he has a great nickname, lets hope he progresses as he could conceivably be the future of the club in a few years

Suso reminds me of David Silva in how he carries himself on the pitch. Obviously oozes class even at a tender age.

He's already a better tackler.

Don't remember that thread but I agree anyway, his playing style screams David Silva.

We've won an awful lot more than that in the last 30 years.
Doesn't matter. As soon as he does we'll sell him to Real Sociedad.

I remember watching the 17-year-old Fabregas make his debut (I think) in the Charity Shield. He was blindingly good even then.

You're not honestly comparing Mellor's and Pongolle's contributions to Garcia's in our CL run? He scored 5 goals, most of them crucial. And neither Pongolle nor Mellor averaged over 10 goals a season either.

And as nice as the FA cups and that treble season were, I don't think they're even remotely comparable to 2005 in terms of achievement. But that's semantics really.

P.S. Gerry, I obviously meant two decades. Well spotted 😉
