'Years ago if you were an England centre-forward you would be regarded as one of the best in the land'
that was before rickie lambert was a fucking england striker

Is that Niall Quinn stat about Balotelli providing 1 assist in 70 games at Man City true?
If so, wow.
Poor Harry Redknapp:
"The one player I feel sorry for in all this is Rickie Lambert.
"He fulfilled a dream going back to his hometown club in the summer. But he is likely to be third choice behind Daniel Sturridge and Mario Balotelli.
"That makes me sad - and worries me. Years ago if you were an England centre-forward you would be regarded as one of the best in the land and wouldn't be left on the bench hoping to get 15 minutes at the end of a game when your team is 3-0 up."
............
What year is he living in? The days of Fowler, Shearer, Owen, Sheringham etc are well and truly over.
According to transfermarkt, Nial Quinn can eat his own balls. This is his performance data per club (all competitions). 8 in 80 isn't that great, but still it's way better than 1 in 70.
The green ball column is for assists; the one next to it is for yellows.

For the Premier League alone, he had 20 goals and 4 assists in 54 games.

Erm, but the actual stats, as opposed to the media bullshit stat cited by Quinn, suggest he assisted much more than that. Read the posts above Dreamy.Mario in being a selfish shite striker who doesn't assist his teammates stat shocker.

Great work. I've heard that one assist stat from a few sources, perhaps first from the Guardian, so nice to see it countered.According to transfermarkt, Nial Quinn can eat his own balls. We're truly sorry for being excited gene.Nothing does more to put a damper on my enthusiasm for a new signing than you tragic cunts trying to think up songs for the first few weeks.
It is a lot less horrific. One is an assist rate of one in seventy, the other, a much more acceptable one in ten. Couple that with the stats for his time at Inter and AC Milan, where he has a pretty respectable assist rate. In other words, the one in seventy 'stat' is a nasty and pejorative slur, and one should not colour any thinking person's judgement of the player.8/80??
That's horrific just a little less horrifc than 1/70
I really hope he transforms like some crazy goal scoring, hard working committed butterfly but I just don't see it happening.
Would love to be proved wrong.
As they say back home, don't let the truth get in the way of a good story. That stat illustrates peoples' opinions of Mario so well that it's too good not to repeat. It was that idiot Stelling who started highlighting that supposed stat and then everyone was at it.
They'll be singing about him from the kop before you know it and you'll be devastated.Every time you're excited you instinctively start writing doggerel? What is this, a 1940s Hollywood musical??

Luis Suarez Stats are insane..Balotelli (last 2 seasons) vs Sturridge vs Suarez
Some Pros and some Cons ... but the cons are nowhere near as bad as is being made out. Note since Balotelli was subbed on/off a lot at Milan I've compiled this over a 90 minute metric not per game or total.

Case closed. In that case I guess I must already be devastated.
Years ago when you were England centre forward, you could also be in Division Two top scoring for Wolves. Or scoring in single digits in 11 of your 13 club seasons in the Premier League during the time when you were representing the country. Or you could be Jermain Defoe, the man who needed a million shots.
In other words, shut the fuck up Redknapp.
Did he forget about the existence of Daniel Sturridge, you know, that England centre forward?
Case closed.
