I'd prob have Fowler first, but that's a pretty good attempt. That top 4 would be the envy of most teams (even if 50% of them are judas bastards).

Mellor, Babel and Pongo should be on the list ahead of the mongs at 14 and 15,

Based on Genes post, I have decided to build a shit/good/ like/hate matrix.

Good / Players I like (higher = better) .....Good players I hate (higher = more hatred)
1. Fowler ..................................................1. Torres
2. Suarez ..................................................2. Owen
3. Kuyt ......................................................3. Collymore
4. Garcia ...................................................4. Garcia
5. Bellamy .................................................5. Anelka
6. Litmanen
7. Saunders

Shit Players I like (higher = more love)...... Shit Players I hate (higher = less I hate them)
1. Heskey ...................................................1. Keane
2. Crouch ...................................................2. Carroll
3. Babel ......................................................3. Le Tallec
4. Baros .....................................................4. Cisse
5. Riedle .....................................................5. Voronin
6. Morientes ................................................6. Diouf
7. Camara
8. Sinama-Pongolle
9. Mellor
10. N'Gog
11. Jovanovic
12. Meijer

Don't have any opinion
1. Dundee

I'm tempted to plot a graph for a more accurate representation. This matrix does not accurately convey some things i.e. Heskey was only slightly shit, and I only slightly hate Keane. And Torres and Owen are pretty close together in the hatred stakes.

Hahaha. My head hurts.

So this crack thing is spreading then?

Same here. Suarez wins it for me hands down. He's so much better on the ball than Torres ever was, and he's (hopefully) going to score just as many goals, if not more.
I agree and I was a massive massive Torres fan. I think Suarez just beats him on almost every level.

I'm surprised so many are forgetting just how good Torres was for us. There was a reason he was sold for £50million.
I will never forget how good he was but Saurez has been MoTM or in the top 3 virtually every game for the entire season. That is a level of consistency never matched by Torres.

Good question...

It's Torres at the moment. He sustained his brilliance for 18 months. Suarez has got to keep this going to match him.
I'm struggling to see how this man will ever have a dip. His inner confidence is off the charts and in stark contract to Torres.

Torres was only a monster for about a season and a half though, Suarez could keep this going for much longer.

I don't think Suarez will have a season like Torres' debut but he'll have a lot more very good seasons than Torres.
He's having it this year!

He could end up with 35 goals and has being nothing short of sensational this year!

I would take Torres at his peak, because the way he used to play combined with his clinical finishing took points off our rivals and put us in contention for the title.

Suarez is by far more talented and effective than Torres even in his wet dreams. But to win a title, it's really irrelevant that you are effective against Norwich City. What counts is how good you are at stealing points off the scum and Chelsea. Suarez hasn't been able to do that yet, apart from the odd game here and there. Torres terrified those teams in every game during those couple of seasons. Cunt.
EH?
What the 3-1 win at home? Or the fact he scored there last year?

And its a bit unfair saying Suarez doesnt do it against the big teams as we were a big team when Torres was here.

Personally, I think this is a shit thread. Comparing Suarez and Torres is about as clever as a colourblind person on a rubiks cube. They're two completely different players.
I guess I could have phrased it as a woh would you prefer title.
In any case it certainly raised a bit of debate 😉

If pushed I'd go for Torres. I love Suarez but there is a reason that every single Liverpool fan was totally gay for Torres for about 2 years. I'll never forget that first goal against Chelsea. Everyone was like "I. Can't. Believe. A. Liverpool. Striker. Just. Did. That".

It is very unfair on Suarez though. He's playing in a far worse team at a time when apathy is seemingly at an all time high. Plus we're all cynical n shit after the Torres hurt. If things were reversed so might the answer.
I said the same when Suarez ripped the entire Utd defence a new 1 and was annoyed Kuyt tapped it in from a foot when it would have trickled over.
