Suarez > Torres (at his peak)

11 Suarez' vs 11 Torres'

The team of Suarez would win all fucking day long.
Its not even close. Suarez is MUCH better than Torres.

The Torreses would huff because they're not getting any service. Meanwhile the Suarezi 1-11 would be filling their boots doing fly nets.

It wouldnt be a contest.
Torres would be left in a heap covered in blood and shit and Harry Monk.

Suarez made me forget Torres. Suarez FTW.

Shame that they both did not play together though.

Torres was ace. I hate that he left. But a man that makes Ferguson so scared he need to orchestra an 8 match ban to ruin him has shown qualitues beyond what Torres did. Luis for me.

Are the stats anywhere in this thread?

Torres 142app 81 goals 0.57 per game
Suarez 82app 41 goals 0.50 per game

Suarez for the fact he creates a lot for himself and so far has played in a far inferior team. On paper the two of them together is over a goal a game, it would've been nice to see them together even just until the end of that season.

Suarez is the obvious choice for me. He has more to his game than Torres and isn't as dependent on his team-mates.

ahh "jury-prone".

ssshhhhhh

Suarez is a machine, however after watching that video, you realise once again Torres was truly something very special. Both very different players, hard to compare.

Ryan's right. That compilation of goals in nigh-on unbelievable, there's hardly a tap in or a scrappy finish among them.

Suarez is superb, but for me Torres was simply the best player I've ever seen play for us. He was just a joy to watch.

It's preposterous to watch. The longer it goes the less sad I am about the whole affair. I mean, we were blessed with all the magic he seemingly had to give.

Suarez is a much more helpful player in some ways than Torres, but in terms of goal scoring it isn't close.

I just hope Suarez hangs on a little longer with us.

The great thing about Torres was that you could ask 10 people to name their favourite goal and get 10 different but completely reasonable answers. It was the variety of the goals that was so impressive.

My pick would be his solo effort at Derby, just for the sheer nerve of it.

Better than Gerrard? Better than Fowler? Than Rush? It was a flash and then he was gone ... 2 phenomenal world class years.

FYI - those two years were great for us, but I'm convinced that everything clicked right for him & us ... That was 'form' ... his class is what we've seen with Atleti and Chelsea for the majority of his career - a 10-20 goal/season striker.

Better than all those players.

I think you're wrong about the form/class thing. Very, very, wrong.
