Sturridge on the move perhaps?

I think I'm as frustrated as anyone here about his injury situation. I just dont agree about him deliberatly being out injured

Then why say you can't wait? You're clearly chilled out about him turning up for every game per three months. And who said he's 'deliberately' out? Is this one of those big brave arguments outside the pub with you and no one else??

Calm down Judy. I cant wait to have him back, as in he's so good I just want him to get fit as soon as possible. Nothing else and there has been written a lot of shite about him.
That said he obviously needs to just get on with it and play with these minor knocks as everyone else does. But his fitness and match fitness is awful so its no wonder that he breaks down all the time.
No pre season since 2011 will do that. At some point we'll have decide what to do with him but for now I'm quite happy to see what Klopp and co can do.

*stumbles back inside the pub

But you CAN wait to have him back. If you couldn't, then you'd appreciate the frustration, anger and confusion his injury saga is causing.

Everyone appreciates the frustration Macca, this is just an extension of the other thread though where a couple of the same posters were calling him all the pricks and money grabbing bastards under The Lying Rag, which is as frustrating. There's no need, it's pathetic.

As for your question to Hansern, "who said he's deliberately out?", That's exactly the same impression I got from the earlier "lazy", "fat contract", etc comments. And if you re-read the other Sturridge thread, it's what a few of our posters have eluded to and what the likes of Brendan and a few others have taken the piss out of.

Yeah, we can't wait around forever while we're playing him £150k per week, but let's have a look at the facts and how Klopp has handled this:

  • Klopp suggests that Sturridge's situation is more a case of poor mentality and not playing through the pain barrier. He shows frustration at Daniel declaring himself unfit. He throws him in and he gets injured.
  • He then says that Daniel is "constantly knocking on his door asking to play". He now suggests that Daniel shouldn't be declaring himself fit. He waits until he decides he's ready and plays him against Southampton, he gets injured again.
  • He now decides that Sturridge has to fulfill a preseason criteria, Sturridge can't put back to back training sessions together, ergo, he can't get in the squad, ergo the Neanderthals of 6cm brandish him "lazy", " a cunt", "a motherfucker" and some basically subscribe to a pathetic theory that he's decided to sit on a fat contract and fuck off his career.
Like I said, and like Hansern and others said, it's a pathetic conspiracy theory & disrespectful nonsense. Oh, and Klopp hasn't handled this all that well, despite him being pretty endearing and everything else.

I can't get my head round why we wouldn't have bought him considering the mess we're in and how little a gamble it would be.

Fuck it all.

Good season last season, but he strikes me as being the same sort of level as Ings. Whom we already have. Good deal for the saints though

We shouldn't be signing players like Austin just because they're cheap. We need to be targeting top quality before they go astronomical in value.

There's manipulation on both sides when it comes to interpretations. Some say Klopp handled it badly, but that, too, is as mean-minded as maligning Sturridge. Klopp turns up and he's told Sturridge is getting back to fitness. So he waits, plays him, then is understandably bemused by how frail the player seems. So he responds to that. Then he discovers just how dodgy his medical staff are, so he intervenes and tries to get the player properly fit. I don't think, except with the benefit of hindsight, there's much to get upset about with that, except for what a shambles he inherited.

I guess the crux is that some players are just injury prone, and it looks like that's Sturridge. Which is bad for everyone, but I don't buy this bollocks about him being a money grabber who isn't bothered about the game, and we could do without posters calling him names because of it.

Klopp: “No. No chance for Daniel. He has had a break in training because of some issues. He’s now back training but losing time. But no team training since Newcastle. I don’t know how long it is. That’s not a situation we can think about him.”

What has Studge done for Klopp to want to freeze him out? He is easily the best striker we have.

How exactly is he freezing him out?
