Petrov is much better than Scharner. It's not even close. But we should still be looking elsewhere.

Yeah but that 7mil could be spent much better elsewhere

I could spend it well. I'd buy a nice house on the river in Bray 1.5m, Villa in the south of France 500k, Sailboat 500k, Apartment in Liverpool city centre 350k, Ferrari Dino 125k, Alfa Romeo Zagalo 35k, Houses for Family 2m, Money for friends 1m, annual salary the rest.
That's way better than one Bulgarian tart with gay hair.

You could get 46,666,666 packets of Space Raiders and still have 10p change. Only just over 41 million chomps though.

I'm talking about feeding the world, not me. Or building a bridge to the moon. If you think we get 20 odd space raiders to a pack and they're about 1.5 inches long, you could get about a 10th of the way to the moon if you built a bridge out of the space raiders.

Loving your work - though if youve gone Classic Ferrari, you should really go new Alfa - 8C Spyder.

Im not a fan of Petrov by any means but I do have alot of respect for him - when he joined Celtic he had no English, and didnt make friends easily. Deciding not to take the typical footballer path of stay-in-digs>play-Playstation>moan-in-press-about-being-homesick>leave , he took a night job with one of the few blokes he'd met (a Celtic fan who owned a late night burger stall) and worked with him for free, thereby learning the language, more about the city and developing a circle of friends. Now if Robbe Keane had had similar application in Milan....

[/quote]I was sat on the roundabout near here a couple of weeks ago waiting for the lights to change and a Lamborghini Revanton pulled up next to me. It had a swiss number plate of like T11 or something like that. Fuck it was sooooo sexy. 20 of them in the whole world. Its rarer than the giant panda.......and far safer to wank over.
Have you seen it?

Surely that Petrov story can't be true? If it is, I love him. But still don't want to spend 7m on him.

Daglish and Barnes signed him when at Celtic and have went on record as saying its the only thing they got right when managing the club so mbe Kennys still a big fan.

As a replacement for Lucas to be third choice midfielder I would take but I can't see O'Neil letting him leave anyway.

he is better than most of our central midfield (that's not much of a compliment) but if we have only 7 m to spank on that position I would rather gamble on someone like Noble of West Ham, who at a strech could be argued to be worth 7m (exclusing payments based on potential appearances and trophies).

Shouldn't we be comparing him to Gery Mac or Didi? Is he as good as them? Same age as DIDI when he came over? Garry mac was in his mid 30's and had a huge impact? Seriously...

No, Didi was 26/27 when we signed him. He was here 7 years.

MON won't sell Petrov. He played for him at Celtic and brought him to Villa at the first opportunity. He rates him big time.

Nobody average should ever be compared to people that have already proven their class! Its a recipe for disaster. i.e- Bruno Cheyrou is the new Zinedine Zidane
