Bad for team morale if he doesn't want to travel let him stay and train on his own at Melwood.

I've a better idea.

Let's stick him in a suitcase and drag him around on tour with us and only let him out when he stops acting like a little prick.

Has he officially put in a transfer yet?

He's got plenty of nerve asking not to go on the trip.

Use him as a vent act. Rodgers can bring him out, sit him on his knee (you know he wants to), and do a routine for the fans.

'Get on the plane'.

'No, I gon gonna geg on ga glane!'

'Get on the plane, Raheem!'

'I'g gather go go Ganchesger Gidy!'

And the obvious thing to do is to tell him only City can stop him going.

If they don't come through with the bid, then he comes.

Are the training sessions open to the public? Sterling can train on his own, in front of the public.

Do a David Blane. Put him in a glass box in the middle of Liverpool for the duration of the tour. See if he can escape. If he does, we'll let him go for $45m plus add onsl

The boy is beginning to look desperate now and it seems City aren't ready to ride to his rescue.

The club should make travel arrangements for him and give him the tickets and tell him they expect him to join up. Let him and his agent mull their options.

The club just need to be seen to be reasonable. Everyone knows how a deal can be made, it's up to City to make it happen. Sterling and Ward need to be asking City why they're dragging their feet.

What are you trying to say Ryan?

Nothing really. I think it was in response to people calling him a cunt, etc, and just wanted to highlight that it's not uncommon. And let's face it, everyone loves Suarez now.

Plus, we don't have to bow down to his demands. We told Suarez to cop on, same could happen with this little scrote.

I don't think it will mind you. He'll be gone to City within a fortnight, and that's probably the best outcome for all.

I'd prefer we kept him, but he's moved on I suppose, so we need to as well.

You took the easy way out here.

You were teed up perfectly to claim people were at minimum hypocrites.

Or you could have gone the nuclear route

I'd take him on tour as 3rd goalkeeper. He doesn't get a new shirt made for him, he just gets one of the old ones made for a 6 foot 4 bloke in shite colours. He gets at least 10 minutes per match.

He could have done, but he'd have been wrong, as pretty much everyone was saying the same when Suarez was throwing his tantrum. Maybe if Sterling stays and scores near 40 goals, leaving for £70million next summer, we'll love him too, but until that happens we'll just resent him, just like we were resenting Suarez when he gave that interview. No hypocrisy here, quite the opposite.

Ward is obviously acting for City and is probably on a tiered bonus to get the fee as low as possible. I would love it if this cunt was left high and dry having made his client look like the epiteme of the spoilt brat bellend footballer cliche missing out on his own big payday and with his client stuck on 30k a week for two years. We would still get a decent fee in two years time, save a few mil in wages and get to see Ward crash and burn.

And people think this can all be resolved amicably. Fuck the little scrote.

give it a few months and you'll have people saying we should have fought to keep him and it's completely the clubs/managers fault. He doesn't give a fuck about the club, or the fans.

Our hands really have been tied over this, people can point to a poor season, but if the little twat is the type of personality who jumps ship rather than stays to fight, he's not really got a fucking clue what being in a team really means. Fuck him, he want's everything given to him, so I hope he enjoys what silverware he wins from the sidelines and ends up at West fucking Ham in three seasons.

That he wants to go to City - down to the player.

The saga that's evolved - the agent

A Citeh fan was on TalkSport a short while ago saying he now doesn't want Sterling and reckons plenty of other Citeh fans feel the same.

Someone posted one of their forums on this thread and the majority wanted him.

The only downside for us is that we may need the money from Sterling's sale to fund our new striker.
Other than that we hold all the cards with him still having 2 years left on his contract and on relatively low wages even if we have to keep hold of him. He might not try as hard as Suarez did but that would ultimately be self defeating as it would surely affect his England prospects. Hodgson hinted at it earlier in the summer by saying he's got no problem with playing him but the situation needed resolving.
All it takes is for the likes of Ibe or Redmond to start the season well and Sterling's place for England could be under threat.
Also with Ibe coming through for us and Wilson and Kent waiting in the wings (no pun intended) there's no reason that we should miss him at all especially if Firmino does well.
Let the little fucker sulk all he likes it shouldn't concern us until City stump up the money we want on the terms we dictate. In the meantime make Sterling's professional life as difficult as possible.

Playing devil's advocate here, sterling is obviously a thick little cunt with about 3 brain cells, so I think a lot of this posturing is coming from aidy ward. He'll be the one telling him exactly what to do, 'don't put a transfer request in', 'don't sign that contract', 'I'll sort you out a bbc interview', 'tell them you don't want to go on the tour'.
He must have one of the most immature, incapable agents of all time. If he'd have wanted out, he could have got out, with pretty much no fuss and come out smelling of roses, instead, his agent has made himself, sterling, us, and city, all look like cunts.
Sterling wanted a move, and a proper agent would have got him one, nice and easily, with a good deal for everyone.
