Spurs

I think this year they might be consistent enough. They have a piss weak schedule until March as far as I remember.

They won't go away.

I think on top of the 6 point gap they've a few other problems which should hopefully discount them:

  • goal difference
  • extra league cup fixtures
  • losing Son for a few weeks
  • lack of depth
  • Away games vs us, Chelsea and City

Got two tickets for the Spurs game in March. That looks like it will be a cracker.

Hate the fucking cunts. Hope Wolves van get a draw on Saturday.

Son pissing off to Asian cup will help and I still don't think they'll be firing once they move into their new stadium. A few draws or losses in the new ground and people will be saying they should have stayed at Wembley

They don't lack depth. A quick scan of their squad is enough to derail what is fast becoming an Urban myth.

They are not losing Son for a few weeks .. they managed to get him a waiver for the first games of the tournament and the rest will depend on how far SK go.

The LC semis / FAC / CL and the PL games could accrue and lead to dropped points though.

I think the 'lack depth' thing is that they don't have natural replacements for Kane and Eriksen, but the same is true of most teams. We equally can't replace Salah and Virge. I think Spurs are in this for the long haul, as Poch has shown the ability to find ways of winning games without key players. And the talk about Son- he was missing for a chunk of games earlier in the season and they coped just fine.

Yeah I always find the 'lack of depth' statements come from a complete lack of knowledge or an inability to use Google.

Players not usually considered starters but good squad players : Aurier, Davies (or Rose), Dembele(or Winks, pick one), Moura, Wanyama (or Dier, pick one), Lamela and even Lorente at times. Those are all squad players and it's by no means a weak squad. Hopefully not strong enough for 4 tournaments though, which may affect PL form.

Since 2013 Eriksen has created the most assists, the most chances and scored more goals than anyone else from outside the penalty area (tied 1st with Coutinho) in the Premier League.

Not bad for £10M.

I still don’t think they’ll catch us mind.

Didn't pochettino suggest the situation regarding Eriksen's contract was 'dynamic' hopefully Barca or whoever snap him up as he's class.

I don't think there's much difference between spurs squad and our own ?

He doesn’t really miss any big fixtures so I’m not sure it will impact Spurs that much

'Dynamic' being a euphemism for 'being sold'.

Love it!!!

Paul: Well done to the Premier League scheduling department for ensuring Spurs had no chance. Bravo.
Tom: I guess that's what happens when Spurs have to play 3 games in 6 days... it's madness how bad a deal we got compared to the other clubs.

To be fair, Coutinho has been out of the league for almost a year ... (and cost £8.5M).

December 26th: Spurs win 5-0 and make the Premier League a three horse race

December 29th: Spurs decide to bow out of the three horse race

Three days in a title race

Let's not get too carried away. We can chuckle after arsenal game hopefully

Eh?

They’ve lost one game against a good side. They will be in the mix.
I doubt it. I've seen quite a few Spurs games this season and they have REALLY gotten away with a few. 15-0-5 should really be something like 12-3-5. I'm guessing that's what happens in the PL Part 2.
