Why?

That's a "change the formation so we can play Agger" lineup.

With Henderson and Gerrard out I have a feeling that Brendan will bring out the 5-3-2.

--------------------Mignolet

------Skrtel-------Sakho-------Agger

Johnson------------------------------------Kelly/Flanno

--------------Lucas----------Allen
-------------------Coutinho

-----------Aspas/Alberto-------Suarez

Modo knows.

i'm pretty sick of how shit we are aginst the better sides since b-rodge has been here so a draw will proper piss me off.

We haven't been shit though, yes results haven't gone our way but we have been pretty unlucky not to get a few more wins against them, hopefully that bad luck will turn around this season.

Robbed at Goodison last season, discusting decision, Allen blew the chance of a win there this season.

Should of won both City games but for stupid defensive mistakes from Skrtel and Reina, played so well in both especially away.

Drew both with Chelsea - Fair enough.

Man Utd we were shit away last season but at home we got fucked over with some shite decisions going against us, won already this season.

Spurs won at home and lost away when after going 2-0 down quickly, we were the better team for the rest of the game and were unlucky not to get anything from it.

Arsenal are the only top team we struggled with and not played well against since Rodgers has been here.

Might seem like excuses but its such fine lines in these games and we haven't really been that far off at all, certainly not shit anyway bar Arsenal.

I really hope I'm wrong and we play a 4-3-3 and take the game to Spurs. Suarez will be isolated upfront if we play the 3-5-2 line up.
It'll be pretty easy for Spurs to stop both Coutinho, Suarez and especially Johnson who's supposed to provide width. Flanno wont.
So we'll basically be attacking with three players one of whom is a defender.

Must be 4-3-3.

I don't care who we play what position we are just as long as we beat these southern faries.. fookin hate spurs..

I'd go with that. I think Sterling is going to surprise people in this game. His confidence is growing again, and he was getting into lots of dangerous positions against the Hammers. Spurs are going to get as tight as they can to Coutinho and Suarez and Sterling might just find himself free a few times. Let's hope he can finish.

Unrelated question, couldn't be arsed to start a thread but here goes:

Have we actually had our best XI on the pitch this season?
I know Ryan will hate this but still, have we started a game this season with the following line up:

------------------------------Mignolet

Johnson-----Skrtel/Touré---------Agger/Sakho-------Enrique

-----------------------Lucas----------Gerrard
-----------------------------Coutinho
-------------Henderson----------------------Suarez
-------------------------------Sturridge

See that arm? That's what got us in trouble last time. He just never learns @the_khl

Very brave of you to go ahead even though Ryan will hate it, Modo.

Talks of Suarez captaining the side on twitter.

Wouldn't mind it, but I don't think it's true.

When gerrard went off injured he gave the armband to johnson i believe . I sort of get that as he's a senior member of the team and i get the feeling highly thought of . But i'd give it to Suarez for this game , despite his ridiculous behaviour in the summer .
