Sakho actually has the best passing completion stat in the whole squad mate. 91,8 % in his 12 games played so far.
His passing and distribution isnt a problem as the stats shows. It was the Spurs away game were he had a bit of a brainfart.

Edit: He's also 4th in the squad with the amount of passes attempted pr game.

Yes, but I prefer my own eyes rather than stats, and I never feel confident he knows what he's doing. Our defenders 'complete' loads of nothing one-two passes in front of their own area but when it comes to more adventurous passes he's not reliable at all. If Kolo has gone from being an inspired signing into a massive joke after two bad matches then Sakho merits much more critical attention, because he's a very rough diamond at present.

In that next 10 games thread had this one down as our only loss, really sketchy fixture this one, we will have to be at our best to get the 3 points from this game.

Could you bump that thread? Was looking to get it bumped recently to compare my predictions against the reality.

Read on here that some (all?) threads auto lock after 2 weeks if nothing gets written in them, the Top7 mini league thread did, might have to ask a mod to open it, i'll have a look for it and see.

You are off the mark on this one, yes Sakho is a little rough round the edges but not with his passing bar that one period in the City game where he lost his head, his range of passing is very good, hes more than capable of playing longer passes into midfield, he was doing it often, in all the earlier threads about him people were raving about his distribution and quality when in possession, it really was there for all to see.

He gets a FAR easier ride than other defenders. That's just a fact. Other defenders would be pilloried for what he's judged to be 'a little rough around the edges'. Indulge him as a cult figure all you like, but don't tell me what my eyes can see. He's got loads to improve.

I'm eternally optimistic about players I like so take the following with a massive dose of salt

I thought sakho was composed and very efficient with his passing.

I think his appearance of being slightly ungainly in his running/passing/technique etc, gives the impression that he's never fully in control of the ball, but whilst having the ball under lock and key. He's surprisingly effective with the ball and rarely fucks up.

I felt the same about toure, but it appears the West Brom game has shattered his confidence

No Toure is fine, he's just a little rough around the edges.
Dunno, when he came on against Swansea he perpetually looked unsure of what to do with the ball. Either that's a shaken confidence or very concerning.

I'm hoping it's the former as it's easier to rebuild confidence, as Rodgers seems to be able to do that

Stats are the last bastion of the unopinionated!

I prefer my GUT (which is not unsubstantial)

This.! He looks like Bambi on ice, his boots appear to be too big for him and he looks like he's going to fuck up at any moment but has rarely done so as far as I can remember. Very aggressive in the tackle and doesn't get knocked off the ball as easily as say Agger does, so far he looks our most reliable defender for me, the rest look like Fred Karnos' army!

I bet Ray Wilkins wishes there had been pass stats when he was playing. He would have looked top class, the old sideways maestro!

Always thought Sakho made loads of very good forward passes, but as you say he needs a lot of work aswell.
The potential is world class but there is a long way to go.

You are correct, he did.

Macca is wrong and is now acting very childish because someone dare tells him.

Oh for fucks sake I haven't even been on the fucking site for an hour you big girl! Are you DJSydney in disguise?

Wait, no Coutinho? Have you all gone mad?
He was off the boil last game so I can understand some decisions to drop him. Add to that Allen having a good game.

Retention is the most important part against saints.
