He did, he actually studied in England for a while, he even had some "work experience" at old Trafford with Fergie. He spoke broken English for a long time whilst he was over here, but most of us thought he was doing it on purpose to avoid answering the difficult questions.

I dont really know what the fuck you are on about with your first point. And second point, yeah he had a poor world cup. But hes never managed internationally before its a weird culture. He still has our best win ratio so did something right. Regardless, he has won many many league titles so there is no question about his pedigree.
The only one mentioned so far still left in the running I'd be happy with is Lambert, seeing as Rafa is, as expected, being irrationally discounted. Capello would probably do ok but I can't rouse myself to any enthusiasm - the idea of watching one of his teams every week just saps my strength.
I have to say, though, that I'm fairly astonished just how ineptly FSG seem to have handled the process so far, and I was already pretty sceptical about them. Having candidates openly rejecting us left, right, and centre like this looks like a total shambles.
