Last season I would have expected the parked bus, but with tired legs and shit form, I they'll do what Villa did and go for the jugular in hope of an early goal or two. if Rogers is wise to this he may play Sterling for his pace on the counter. Lad needs a rest though.
 
Lambert to start? Jesus. That interview about Mario yesterday and then dropping him? But then, if Lambert can't get a game when we can't score with other players misfiring, when will he? I'd still start with Balo personally. Alongside Borini if DS is still out.

Lallana will tear shit up today.
 
If Ibe was still around he could have given Raheem a break. Pity. I have no idea at all as to how we'll do today. Maybe if we get a good start some confidence will return.
 
We need to score the first goal. If WBA take the lead I cant see us getting back into the game.
Paul Joyce saying Lambert is starting and Balotelli on the bench.
 
If Lambert is playing and Balotelli on t'bench, I hope Borini is up top with Lambert.

I've been thinking this a lot lately. There's been plenty of games where bringing Ibe on at 70 mins might have injected a bit of directness and urgency into our turgid play.

How's he doing on loan?
 
Macca and I said at the time that rushing Ibe out on loan was a stupid mistake.

He'd have got minutes at the very least. As things have turned out, he'd have been genuinely useful.
 
Mignolet; Manquillo, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno; Gerrard, Henderson; Sterling, Coutinho, Lallana; Lambert.
 
Foster, Gamboa, Lescott, Dawson, Pocognoli, Dorrans, Morrison, Gardner, Brunt, Sessegnon, Berahino.
 
Worried about Lambert, he's not looked like scoring in a brothel so far. Hopefully we can pinch an early goal somehow to settle the nerves.
 
WBA are a good team and very good on attacking set pieces. We're shite at defending them.
 
Would have preferred two up front. But, if it's one, as it is, and Mario can't play the lone role, let's see what Lambert can do. Come on son, take your chance.
 
Interesting lineup today. Shouldnt be lacking in quality or talent. Lets see if we can get some coherence.

Hope Ricky does the business.
