Everyone seems to be forgetting as well as Skrtel messing up for the goal, the ball came of Lovren's back. I thought he was equally inept for the goal, but nobody seems to be mentioning this.
Well yes, it seems to be a habit with Lovren, to forget the half dozen or so fuck ups he's made, and usually blame Skrtel/Sakho/Gerrard.
Suso has just had groin surgery so is out.
Maybe Coutinho will come back in which I wouldn't be against seeing if we have 2 up front.
We will leak (again). It's that time of the year.
Equally inept is a bit OTT - I don't think any defenders in the 6 yard box would expect the clearing defender on the penalty spot to head it backwards with pace towards them.
Skrtel was pushing his man and almost forgot that a corner was coming in. Getting in front of the ball like he did is village at best. A professional footballer shouldn't misread a ball flight like that. Really really village.
A ridiculous situation. Both our CBs crouched down to about 3ft combined.
Is he better than Lovren?
West Brom have scored more goals from set pieces this season than any other team. Fuck!
I reckon we'll play really well and win. Then we'll forget it all over the international break and be back to square one.
In this case Skrtel went fucking nuts ! He literally pushed the guy he was marking ca. 5m out from where he was originally level with Lovren. Had he maintained his position he would likely have easily got to that header and for sure there would have been no space behind him for the ball to drop into. It was insane. He has gone back to fouling at every set piece.
If only our defenders could get away with wearing hard hats.
He will kick Mario up and down the pitch but our supporters will be too busy whinging about Mario playing up the fouls.
That's exactly the team I think we should play, as Mark has posted it but with Coutinho instead of Suso. I know Ballotelli and Lambert doesn't give us the most mobile forward line but West Brom will sit back and I think Lambert's experience and intelligence would help in that situation.
I thought the place had seemed a lot calmer and with so much more goodwill around, even after a defeat !
Was he supposed to anticipate ball bouncing off Skrtel's bald head back towards our goal? There was no time to react. It's ridiculous to blame this one on Lovren.
Seems as he tweeted it five minutes before he contract was announced, I think it was to do with that.

What has Markovic done so far to deserve a central starting spot? Early days with him but I'd prefer to see 2 up front and sterling or coutinho at the head of diamond.
You could use that argument with every player in our squad at the moment.
