Who starts?

Strong 11 to cement this mini-resurgence before the biggy on Sunday or a weakened side to give gerrard and Torres a 'rest' which they er deserve?

Based on first leg, I hope we play the strongest team available,as they are there for taking, looked very average.

Given the way the 'second team' played in the first leg I see zero merit in adopting an overly casual approach to the match.

It was an absolute eye sore a week ago from both sides and we didnt really gain anything from blooding a weakened team

It was probably THE fixture where we could afford to drop points though and with injuries and a few players picking up knocks yesterday, ahead of the Chelsea match it's imperative we have everyone who's currently fit, available for selection.

Yes. On the downside: That would mean 90 minutes of (more) misery for us.
 
I suspect Roy will play a strong squad.

We've just won 2 consecutive games, and another win would help with the confidence levels.

I doubt anyone thinks our strongest team will be a match for Chelsea anyway.

Bollocks.

Chelsea struggled immensely at the weekend against Blackburn who by all means was the poorest team we've played all Season.

We are not worse than the Rovers by any means so of course we can 'be a match' for them.

Spirit up a bit.
 
Fuck it, put out our strongest team. Gerrard and Torres don't need to rest. This is an opportunity for the players to get some game time and play themselves into form. A win will give them greater confidence going into the Chelsea game and we definately need that.
