Who is the best defender you have played with and against?
Right now, I would say Martin Skrtel is the best I have played with. Martin is a brilliant defender and this season I think he has been at his best. There are many good ones I have played against but the most difficult would be Thiago Silva from Milan. He is a very good defender and is always a tough opponent. He is quick, strong and all-round a very good player.
That KHL, is from Luis Suarez.

All I can derive from this is that he's more scared of Skrtel than Agger. Don't blame him.
He didn't say or suggest that one bit. He said Silva was difficult and tough, he said Skrtel is the "best one I have played with".

Come on Mark, if you really thought I was being serious there you are a lost cause, or perhaps I am. At least I thought it would be crystal clear that I wasn't REALLY believeing he was affraid of Skrtel why he had to pick him out. *Sigh*
Good for Suarez thinking Skrtel is the best defender he's ever played with, and perhaps he is, doesn't change my opinion to whom is the better defender out of the two of Skrtel and Agger. I hope that's ok? If not, then ok.

But not necessarily with Liverpool.
If he wants to leave, now is the best time to sell him. He's our player of the season, and with another year less on his contract, his value will only diminish. Let the bidding war commence.
Lessons in modern footy:
1. Let's sell our player of the season whilst he's at top value. He'll be as good again next season however there's always an outside chance he might not be. We can use the money to sign someone who's not as good, and isn't being chased by the good clubs to whom we've just sold our player. Things might work out!
2. Let's not sign a bloke who's just scored 23 goals. He might not do it again. Instead, let's spend the same amount of money on someone who is a lot younger and has never done anything of note. Who knows, at some point in the future, if we're lucky, he might score 23 goals? Probably not, but you never know hey?

Is the correct answer. Sell him for 25-30, and buy two quality players.
Larry: agree about Dempsey, but TBF that quote from Skrtel (if it's accurate) makes him sound semi-detached from LFC already. In principle I'd much prefer to keep him, but I wouldn't if he actually wants away.
