There is no fourth choice. Whoever is in the best form will play.

Can you really see Kenny, or any manager worth his salt, sitting a decent player down and going 'you're my fourth choice'. Fuck that.

Skrtel has improved. Towards the end of last season he looked every bit the player we hoped he'd be. He still has a penalty or too in him though. Otherwise he is solid. That header was beastly.

I don't particularly want him to be playing right back regularly but at least we now know he can fill in there effectively.

He's a good player and has been since we signed him. I get the feeling that much of the negativity we get about him is from people who slag off Skrtel as a way of promoting Agger at times.

I tell you who's yet another interesting option at right back: Andre Wisdom. He was absolutely immense playing there against Sporting Lisbon in that youth tournament.

And I agree that the idea of someone being designated 4th choice is a nonsense. All 4 of them (fingers crossed in Coates' case) are great players who'll each get plenty of chances, especially given Agger's injuries and Carra's age.
