Apparently, Klopp's going to give him his debut against West Brom.

People who watch the reserves - how do you rate this kid? Say, in comparison to Ojo and Ibe?

He seems to have had a very profitable loan spell at Brentford. Some exciting stuff in this clip:

@Actonian has very kindly provided loads of updates on him in the loan thread. Sounds a bit inconsistent as you'd expect, but has had a season flecked with moments of genuine quality.

I rate Canos v highly but I fear his progress has been stunted. But if Klopp wants to give him a start that means I know jack really. I really hope he turns out to be gold cos he is imo the best among the lot amongst our reserves/youth.

If we heard about a player doing what 19 year old Canos is doing at Brentford we would have spent around £4 million trying to sign him.

I'd not really seen much of Canos in the U-18s and U-21s before he went on loan, but I've been very impressed with him at Brentford and I'd be astonished if his progress has been stunted by the loan. He seems a player Klopp might like; he has all the skill and ability but also buys into the pressing game. As regards Ibe and Ojo, he doesn't have their pace but he seems to know what to do with the ball which, with respect to the other two, is not always the case.

He also won an award for his work in the community, which is very impressive for a kid his age.

Posts about him on a Brentford forum. Summarized by poster Chris on est1892.

What a great player Sergi Canos is and will continue to become. He has a great future in the game with his fantastic mix of skill and love of the game. We have been very lucky to see a player of his talent playing for us. I would love to see him on another season long loan if at all possible but 1st team squad at Liverpool seems a much more likely place for him next season.
Thank you Sergi for your amazing skills, goals, enthusiasm and love of the game, watching your football has been a sheer delight this season.
....
been an absolute joy to see him develop this season, really good attitude and approach to the game and some of his skills are to die for.
....
I so hope he can come back next Season in one way or another.
...
Really like Canos and it would be a dream to get him back next season
...
I think Sergi came here as an excited kid who plays with his heart on his sleeve and without fear and I've loved watching him develop into a real prospect who I'd love to see back here.
...
It's been a pleasure watching Sergi develop with us this season and his enthusiasm is very infectious.
....
He's bonkers - I really like and rate him!
...
not sure he could cope with the emotion of playing at anfield ( I genuinely think he'd explode with excitement 5 mins into the game)
....
If Sergi is not going to be with us next season, at least he is consistently saying, we have made a positive mark on him. If he goes all the way to a top Champions League club (which I think he will), he will give a really positive opinion about BFC whenever it might come up in the dressing room etc, which will no doubt bode well for us.
...

The little boy who lost the ball for Rotherham's equaliser at GP and made no effort to track or win it back has changed into an all-action mental fireball who makes things happen, an excellent loan for all involved.

Does his playing style remind anyone of Borini? I'm only basing that on the clips I've seen ? I'm not comparing the talent, just the playing style.
