He is injured, no..?? Achillies. He has been asked to carry on his rehabilitation back at home.. The will be far more options available to him back at home to rebuild his fitness than being on tour..

What's the general consensus on Sakho anyway? Personally I don't want him anywhere near the first team but maybe that's just me. His distribution is very poor. What's strange is that he doesn't seem to make any catastrophic fuck ups but always looks like he about to make one. That must create a few jangling nerves for anyone playing alongside him. I know it does for me whenever I watch him.

I've nothing against Sakho but in terms of his abilities as a footballer I'm very 50:50 on him. One game he can look great like away at United in Europa but then he'll play like a donkey like at home to Spurs a few weeks later. Rinse and repeat.
He has this unwarranted and cringe like love in from what seems like a large section of the fanbase based on this this fun loving, cool dude persona regardless of his contribution on the pitch. It's all a bit pathetic.

We deffo need another CB if you ask me, Sakho on his day can play well but is inconsistent and looks like the new Djimi Traore on other occasions.

Lovren, Matip & Ragnar seem to be the certain Match day squad CBs in August/September.
Gomez and Sakho are injured, Sakho possibly about to be sold. Ilori will be at the Olympics, is shit anyway and will almost certainly be sold/loaned.
Another CB in the squad, even if they are from our U21s would be sensible regardless of sales.

This Ragnar dude we have no idea about, and Lovren could go back to being shite for all we know, then Matip has no premiership experience. I'd deffo buy in another CB and get rid of Sakho if hes being a prick.
That 1st half against Spurs was the most ridiculous defensive display I've ever seen. His displays range from brilliant to ridiculous in every match, I'm not sure how we can ever trust him at the back.
I suspect he will be a problem if he is not playing regularly, which looks likely. No point keeping an overpaid time bomb on the bench.
