Regular CL contenders, verge of winning one of the most prestigious leagues out there and playing great attacking footy along the way. I'm sure we can attract a fairly high calibre of player. Bobby is ace, and is deservedly one of the first names on every team sheet, but there are many games where he looks leggy. I'd get a good decent forward who's happy to play for one of Europe's top teams, but without a guaranteed start. Competition up front may be a good thing. Good back up certainly would be.

Why would we ever want someone that’s happy to be without a guaranteed start?

Can't see any one of the players mentioned in this thread being offered a guaranteed start. And yet a few seem keen on signing them up.
So you want someone to replace one of the front three? Not sure about that.
Is it not better to have a player who knows he has to perform or he doesn't start? If he pulls his finger out and starts playing blinders, then yeh, he deserves a place ahead of one of our current front three. If not, we have a good level back up who keeps fighting for his place or gets a regular rotated start.

If there is anyone out there that can replace any of the front 3 then I’d like us to consider signing them because they’d be awesome.

Signing someone happy to sit in the bench isn’t so great and like you said they should be pushing for a place ergo not happy to sit on the bench.

Who said anything about them being happy to sit on the bench? There’s a world of difference between that and being happy to sign without a guarantee start. Which to be fair, should apply to most of our signings bar the odd Messi.

Can we all agree that we HAVE to at least sign someone? Origi and Studge can't even get a game for Wolves or Everton even Palace and that's the best we have got for a semi final game of the CL.

If we were not 0-3 down i suspect most of us will be crying murder.

Origi's OK as a stand-in IMO (though the Studge has had it now at this level) but I do agree we need another signing up front. Not just any old "someone" though - they need to be good enough to have a shot at a first team place in their own right, even if they don't start off as first choice.

If we want to be a big team we need to buy like a big team.

We cant continue with such a drop off in quality past the first 11.

It cost us in the CL last year and looks like it’s going to cost us again this year.

Yep. If we wouldn't be comfortable with them starting a Champions league knockout match or a key league fixture, there is no point. Purchases should be looking to push our current starters for their roles.

I have absolutely no clue what you are on about.. 😀
A couple of months ago I was slagging your promotion of Liverpool signing Danish players as the equivalent of Dreamy advocating us signing Shane Long back a few seasons ago.
You were none to impressed to say the least.🙂
