It's the meth
And you can say whatever you like, it's not like I know how to use the software to ban someone
I could do it for you Ross if you like.
It could be on the basis of one for you, one for me.
It's the meth

Am......EVERYONE ON THE ENTIRE INTERNET I'D SAY.
No one is celebrating as if we won the competition. We are happy with our positive performance. A performance in which we battered the best team in the league at times. A fit Sturridge could have made a world of difference last night. I was disappointed with the result but the performance was very encouraging.[/quote]
Sums it up for me too.
Given managers are so bad at it, I don't know why you'd let them.
The players that were 'forced on Rodgers' (despite him telling us he has the last word) seem to be the ones that aren't working out. I'd say Rodgers is putting things the other way around.
Allen and Borini are hardly doing much.
@Rosco
I'll add, that by all accounts, the description if how the transfer committee works is how you would want it to.
Rodgers can suggest players worth taking a look at, and veto other suggestions.
Data get analysed by the stats mob & the committee can veto any Rodgers suggestion.
Does that mean that anyone we sign is not vetoed by either Rodgers or the committee, so they are all both his and the committee's signings?
Duncan Castles hates us doesn't he?
I guess that's the way it works - they all have to agree.
This is all from articles by Duncan Castles - I don't know how accurate they are - @gkmacca might know whether he's likely to have knowledge or just making shit up.
The suggestion is that the stats guy is using his own criteria of what he thinks a top players attributes should be and Rodgers has limited knowledge of players outside the Premier League and a poor eye for picking players.
Mostly. 😉 Could you elucidate one bit, namely the initial words in inverts regarding Balotelli, "We can't get YOUR targets, not ours"? That seems to imply that they *were* able to get all their targets this time, which in turn might imply an imbalance of power in favour of the committee.
Allen's injured - and he's been reasonable for much of the time.
Borini'a not great - but no one has a 100% record.
His transfers aren't as bad as it's being made out.
Neither I not you know exactly what happens at this transfer committee. I read one article that suggested the biggest problem was the stats person we're using was basing decisions on data sets that made little sense.
Ballotelli looks like the "soccernomics" dream signing - and he's been terrible.
How is Balotelli a soccernomics signing?
The concern I have about our stats fella, as educated as he is, did you ever look at his old player rankings?
I hope that's not our formula.
I don't think we need a formula, just some basic rules thay will help cut out dodgy decisions.
And I hate the notion that being injury prone is some sort of excuse. Being fit enough to play regularly is a skill. If someone can't be ready to play often enough it's a mark against them (and their signing)
Why?
He wasn't undervalued.
I think what's obvious is you don't understand soccermaniacs
And your confusing it with what Brian Clough did back in the day
No - it won't be a 'complete failure'.
This isn't a 2 or 3 year project. We overachieved last year, and we're back on track to a top 5/6 finish which means we're on that curve which SSS took had us ahead of. Stop expecting immediate success - we're building a team that will hopefully be able to compete every year with the big spenders ... That cannot be done overnight (check the average age of our signings & team compared to Kenny/Raf - the last two managers who won trophies) ... Patience man -
It keeps happening. We support Liverpool, he supports a collection of players he likes and a past manager.
Yes we overachieved, but why are Spurs, West Ham and Southampton currently ahead of us in the league?
My point is sure, progress is gradual in most cases, but at this stage we've actually regressed when we're on par with teams like Spurs, West Ham and Southampton.
Sure you could argue that they're overachieved, but we are where we are, we've been knocked out of the CL by Basle and we've wasted at least £60 million.
Even keel posting! Modo - listen to this man.I struggle to take your point seriously when you then promote Rafa as the 'natural successor' when his last 3 jobs (Liverpool, Inter and Lazio) have seen him be in charge of teams which have seen his decisions cause major regressions ...
Where were we in the table last year with 3 games to play? What did it mean? Nothing - because we finished 2nd. So at the end of the season, we'll figure out where we stand. We had a terrible early season run - and those clubs have not really had any 'bumps.' Soton may be like we were last year - who knows but to judge this project on half a season shows a fan who's not interested in anything but immediate success. It's not going to happen - even if we sign a Mourinho or a manager of that calibre. The team is moving in the right direction and your expectations are either too high, or it's something else..
We got knocked out of the CL with Rafa the year before he left - were you asking for him to be fired then? We wasted how much money with him too? Again, I struggle to take these points seriously when you use them for one manager, and not another.
Did we falter in the CL? Yes. We didn't perform nearly well enough - and we were too cocky. It is a learning experience for a young team and a young manager. Have we 'wasted' 60 million? I don't know how you can judge all the players after 6 months - but considering what some were saying about Can, Markovic etc and now we see their form over the last 2 months? Yes, Balotelli seems like a waste - I don't think we'll even break even here. Lovren may still come good - it's not a waste yet. Lallana has really come into his own in the new formation. Can looks like a potentially excellent player. So does Markovic, and Lambert has contributed a few goals.
I'll repeat - if you want 'immediate success' etc, you're following the wrong team. It's not going to happen. Will Rodgers definitely achieve it? I hope so, but I'm realistic - too early to tell. Unless you have mega-millions, you build a team with the same manager for a few years and as the team takes the final steps, you maximize the $$$ this brings. Ferguson, and to a degree, Wenger have done it in the last 30 years ... I think we'll see over the next 5 months how far/close we are to our ascent, and possibly Rodgers it he man who can continue to lead us. Considering what he's done in 3 years, I think he's on the right track ... I'm not sure why you're so utterly convinced that he's not - but it saddens me that if he does fail, you'll gloat about being right ...
