I think Henderson will flourish under Rodgers. He's good passer and smart player with good work rate. He will be our key player next season.
I'm not convinced he'll be our key player next season but you make a valid point and I think he will flourish under Rodgers style of play.

i personally feel brendan will get the best out of hendo, his philosophy of keep the ball suites him, all hendo needs is someone to teach him to get his head up and look for a forward pass and the one to do that is brendan rogers! As for Kuyt we cant sell him he's brilliant for those big games away like man u at old trafford, he can sell adam tomorrow though replace with joe allen or Gylfi.

sorry i pretty much said what everyone else was saying lol i was typing when they were posted though. Guess we all feel the same about hendo though 🙂

I prefer him to Martinez.

Rodgers is young, seems tough enough to handle the press and pressure of the job, and he's done hugely well with Swansea.

He's got my backing.

From what little I know I easily prefer him to Martinez.

Rodgers seems the tougher candidate too and I think that could be a needed trait for any manager to get us back on track.

Just curious, is that his son or grandson?
Great Great Great Great Grandson.

A statement from Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins:

"I was contacted by Liverpool last night and they expressed their wish to speak to Brendan regarding their vacancy.

"I had a discussion with Brendan to talk about their interest and his views on whether he wanted to speak to Liverpool.

"He expressed his wish with me to do that and he has spoken to Liverpool today.

"Following on from discussions with Liverpool's owners, Brendan has informed us that he would like to take up their offer to manage Liverpool.

"At the moment we are currently in talks with the owners to agree compensation.

"We are trying to finalise that within the next 24 hours.

"Although we are very disappointed to lose such a talented, young British manager, we didn't wish to stand in his way.

"As always at Swansea City, we want people working here who are fully committed to the task ahead.

"We wish Brendan every success in the future.

"We will always remain good friends and we thank him for all his hard work and passion at this football club over the past two years.

"We shall now refocus and quickly start the process of finding his replacement to continue the great work Brendan has carried out at this football club."

So is this the deal then?

Van Gaal as some kind of DoF and Rodgers underneath him?

Is that gonna work? Doesn't Van Gaal have a habit of going mental at people and that?

What's Rodgers like in the transfer market, has he got an eye for a player, or will this be Van Gaal making those decisions and Rodgers just getting them playing?

The waiting game is now about whether or not we'll get van gaal as well.

I can imagine it's a bit like being diagnosed with prostate cancer, and then the waiting game is to see whether or not it has spread to your liver.

There is a good chance you are Brendan.

Oh you have no idea. You WILL be Brendan too. Trust me. And when you are, you will be screaming and crying for what will seem like eternity, trying desperately to remember that something which dantes once told you but you never paid attention.
