reported in the media he is ready to force a departure from munich...

mind you he has been saying that all summer...

The gossip column the other day speculated that Real had offered 30M euros plus two of the Dutch contingent.

If I was Bayern, I'd snap their fuckin arms off for 30M + Sneijder + Robben.

That would be a great deal for Bayern alright.
Maybe they are hoping that Man City will ring them up and offer silly money for Franck at some stage in the near future.

He's not really in the same echelons as the others now and probably never will be!

The lesson I like to draw from the time we bought that incredible front line is that we did it with the fee we got for Rushy. Moral of the story: no-one is indispensable.

Ramos is the first choice RB.

They also signed Albiol for 20M euros or so.

The summer of 1987 was indeed marvelous however Aldo was already at the club and played some games for us in the previous season.

Van der Vaart might well need too return to Germay considering his wifes situation. If they sign Ribery as well, its just daft!

I hope the egos clash because if they gel they will be nigh on unstoppable, Pellegrini is an admirable chap as well certainly not a mug in the manager stakes.

they're already unstoppable with Ronaldo, Kaka etc. really don't see what Ribery would add

fully agree with rebel23... theyr gonna blow everyone out of the water this term, if their defense holds. would relish them playing Chelsea, ManU and us in that order in CL.

On paper they should but it's all a very unknown quantity at the moment.

That's what everyone was saying last time Perez was in charge and went around buying up every star name in sight. It didn't happen then and I don't think it's going to happen now.

It's much more likely he'll end up at Chelsea than anywhere else. Unfortunately.
[/quote]

Nope, he's definitely off to Real Madrid.

I'll say it right now, he'll be there before the transfer window closes.

Ribery to Madrid looks on, I reckon VDV will be one that goes the other way, Bundesliga is his standard. He's lucky that computer game exists or he'd be working in Lidl.

Messi, Henry, Alves, Xavi, Iniesta, Eto'o - didn't exactly sweep all before them, Chelsea would have had them in the CL semis with any decent referee. I'd have fancied our chances too.

They now have Ibra for Eto'o - does anyone think a totally re-worked RM are going to pulverise that established team ? I don't.

CL will be interesting but these are the bookies favourites (in order) : Barca, RM, United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Inter, Arsenal, AC, Juventus. Average of 11 bookies odds.
