We couldn't afford an injury to any of our front 3 or have any of the back 5 have an off day, we got both.

Can't fault Klopp or the boys application.

We've known Karius hasn't been good enough for a long time (well apart from @Ryan ) but apart from him everyone worked their socks off.

They brought on Nacho who arguably should have started and Bale who's world class.

We brought on Lallana who had barely kicked a ball all season and Can who hadn't kicked a ball for 2 months.

We badly missed Coutinho tonight but ultimately squad depth cost us and hopefully we'll address it in the summer.

What a run and what a ride.

Karius is another Lovren, massively over inflated ego which just invites scorn when reality inevitably comes crashing down on him.

You mean that Lovren that was clearly one of our Top 3 performers tonight ? An incredible tackle on Ronaldo too.
 
Riise was given a lot of abuse after making 1 mistake in a big game (chelsea champions league semi final) but after two big mistakes it would be best for the club and the player to part ways. No one was really convinced by him and apparently the club having been scouting new keepers anyway but surely that's too much for the fans to forgive.
It wouldn't be fair to Karius to put him in a position of being booed or abused at Anfield which could well be the case. Sad for all concerned.
 
That Boy Karius should be on suicide watch tonight. How to ruin a career in one game. I can't shake the fatherly feeling in me that wants to console him. Best Jurgen gives him time with his family as soon as possible.

Strangely I don't feel much, what could go wrong did.

Two horrible errors in the biggest stage in club football, who can you compare it to?
Also, yeah I'm pissed off at Karius like everyone else but like I said, I'd expect that someone in the team would console him. I thought our mantra was 'YNWA'? He was walking alone like a motherfucker out there...
So if I'm a worse supporter than you, then you should definitely get what I mean.

Solanke
Klavan
An injured Can
An unfit Lallana
An unfit Clyne
Ming

Can't really complain if they lose.

The 11 that started had to get it done.

Hopefully the summer brings in reinforcements

We all know people who are so confident it borders on arrogance even though they fail to back it up. His confidence was one of the things I liked about him when he signed for us but his ability doesn't seem to match his self belief. I'd rather the next goalie we get is wracked with self doubt but performs to a much higher level.

We knew the bench was shite tonight and has been for weeks but let's face it if the injured players were available then it wouldn't have made much difference as the squad is still short on depth which must be the lesson we need to learn for next season.

We were flat after Salah going off. Ramos knew what he was doing. We got done by 2 fuck ups and a worldy/fluke. Manè was brilliant. As were the back 4.

Firmino was crap. Milner ran himself to the ground. Lallana pointless and did Can even touch the ball? That shows why we need 5 players at least. Our bench was shite. Oxlade-Chamberlain would’ve made a big difference but beyond that we have nothing.

The better team won but we aren’t too far away.

Just watch. We won’t make the final in Madrid as it’s piss easy to get to. We will when it’s back at the pain in the arse ataturk.

Ah well I think deep down we always knew Karius was shit...fuck me dead. It's 5am here and maybe I'm drunk but I feel ok!... i just reckon you can't get tooo down about it cos generally we are on the up and up. We play boss footy, klopp is sound and we have a bunch of players i genuinely actually like ...rather than tolerate. And fuck royal madrid...Francos team...Karma says we will twat them next year in the quarters or semis I reckon.

I wonder if Karius’s mistakes had anything to do with that hit on the head. It sounds like an excuse but everything would be in a different light if it turns out he played the 2nd half with a concussion.
