I never quite got the argument of lowering expectations because of the state of the club, except when it came to judging Rafa.

If our club was losing money or basically had fuck all coming in - then I would be forced to lower my expectations - quite simply we have nothing to compete with in this day and age where money talks quite a bit in football. I never wanted to Rafa to leave despite him having a terrible season - it was as far as I understand the first season he had failed to qualify for the CL ? and he got the sack for it. I never thought he lost the plot towards the end - I think it was telling though how he was being forced to sell players. Simply put: --

1) GH gave us order - but like all strict people they become a little delusional after a while.
2) Rafa made us wanted again with the glitzy lights of Europe
3) Hodge fucked us up the arse and gave us AIDS
4) Kenny cured us to give us hope.
5) Rodgers made us dream a little.
6) Klopp will hopefully take us to heaven and keep us there !!!

Ive backed a fair few shit horses in my time (Carroll and Aquilani probably the biggest two) but not EVERY cunt we have ever signed.
I was the cunt who wanted Maxi, Coutinho, Sturridge before anyone else. I was onto Ozil, Higuain, Bale and others way before most had heard of them.

Im ALWAYS positive about anyone we sign in the hope they come good but I dont slavver over every cunt we trot out.

Pretty sure I would have been positive-ish when he signed, I always give people the benefit once they sign, but I didnt WANT the fat cunt and certainly wasnt happy we signed him.

I realise now that in protecting my own besmirched name I have in effect thrown the good Doctor under the bus.
This was not my intention as I was only looking for my thoughts as I was sure I was whelmed by the signing of Adam. Just as whelmed as I was at Roy coming.

a) He's loved there unconditionally (think Liverpool fans on 26.5.2005!)
b) He's got control and say currently
c) He'll be regarded as a God if he gets them into Europe or wins a cup
d) He's close to his spiritual home, Liverpool.
 
I stand by my love for Charlie Adam. He was top of our chances created stats in his first season, and amazingly, consistently was top of the distance covered stats despite looking like he lived on a diet of pies and ale. He was an easy target for critics because he did look like a fat bastard. Non, je ne regrette rien.

Thanks for the fucking hospital pass Oncy.
