please give us an early Christmas gift, and fuck off.

Please, we need a new manager, this isnt working anymore. 70 mins before our first shot on goal against fucking Pompey.

Just leave..

+1.

I honestly can't see another top manager who would play Dossena, Mascherano , Lucas and Kuyt as a midfield.

I don't think even Klinsmann would be that inept.

We all saw the midfield today, and i think deep down, knew what was coming.

Yep, writing was on the wall as soon as the teamsheet was released

Insua, Lucarse and Drossena *all* in the same team?

Fucking cunts all three of them

My favourite magic Rafael moment today was when with less than 15 minutes to go, a goal down, ten men and the 'tactical genius' takes off a left back...for another left back!

Genius.

Leaving Egg Nog on the bench to bring on a left back was nothing short of stupid. Egg Nog may not be the best player in the world but at least he knows where the net is.

Kuyt was invisible today... he is in a fucking poor run.. As most of the others. it is Rafas responibility to have the players in form during season. You can say he has failed that one!

You're all going to be called cunts by Doctor Mac. You might even get a nice new witty nickname. I hope you can handle it.

And yeah, he needs to go. The team has no heart, they don't want to play for him by the looks of things.

The whole season has been fucking pathetic. We need him to go for the good of the club.

It should not be a surprise he did it the other day too, he's a little bit cracked

This is so depressing. It's looking more and more like yet another manager and another new hope has lost its way.
I still cannot figure out what has gone so wrong that changed us from the all conquering team we saw last spring to this hopeless collection of individuals.
I've been a big fan of Rafa and it's so hard to give up on the hogh hopes I had from him, but it looks more and more like he's lost his way. We desperately need a change, and a major one. I would still hope Rafa can make the change but I'm becvoming desperate.

I don't want Hiddink and I don't want Dalglish.

I don't know who though.

I know what you mean. But it's strange, I actually think ANYBODY could have won a few of the games Rafa has lost this season. His tactics are so fucking horrific and soul destroying I just don't know where to start.

'A little'?

It's the midpoint of the season......and we are technically closer to the bottom spot (14 pts and 18 goals) as to the top (14 pts and 19 goals)
so summing up.
Yeah. Like fuck off already.

I don't want any more defensive tactical geniuses who will try and out-think the likes of Steve Bruce or Alex McCleish.

I just want an attacking manager, who will come and try to instill some fluidity and pace in our side.

- Someone who won't be concerned with what the other team are doing.
- Who will get us playing football where we try outplay the opposition rather than out-work or out-manuevre them.
- A manager who won't see the great value in a player like Kuyt, but would rather go with a player of less industry but more efficiency like Arshavin.
- Who will understand that modern day footballers require athleticism (especially the Premiership) in the form of pace and strength, as opposed to stamina and tactics.

Who am I describing? I don't know. But I know it's not Rafa.

Amen to that.

I don't mind Insua as he is young and being blooded but the other two were bought by Rafa and have provided f*ck all for their fees.

This season is turning into a mess that even I didn't see coming and I've been more negative that most.

Rafa has to go.

Alex Ferguson? 😱

I am now a fully fledged member of the "Rafa Out" Bridage. It was embarassing watching that squad try and play today.

We have 2 of the greatest players that will ever play in the Liverpool shirt in our team coupled with some other great players (Carra, Mascher, Reina) but after that the team is shite. It is getting increasingly harder to support the team when there is so little talent and more imprtantly, no one looking like they want to win out there.

That's actually an interesting suggestion. Haven't seen his name mentioned before here, but is definitely worth debating.

Nail on the head there mate. Spot on.

Also, off topic, when I quote a long post, such as this one, I can't see what I'm typing as it randomly scrolls up until I press a key, when I can see what I'm writing for a split second. Anyone know how I can change this?

Frank Rijkaard.

He wouldn't be a bad call. It's funny because I really think we could do with an attacking manager like Rijkaard, even if he just comes in to buy decent players, before failing and letting a more tactically astute manager take over.

Case in point. Claudio Ranieri.

Say what you like about his shit trophy record. But he seems to always buy good attacking players, without having much a clue how to use them. Then the manager who takes over after him tend to sure it up defensively and bear the fruits of his labours.

We could use an attacking manager to come in and balance out the last DECADE of defensive negativity. Someone who may just add 2 or 3 players, but instill an attacking team pattern, a bit like how Wenger did when he first came to Arsenal (off the back of George Graham's period). Rijkaard isn't a bad call.

Except Rijkaard is the man that stopped the 5 year rot at Barcelona, won a European Cup, 2 League titles and always challenged often playing wonderful football.

Rijkaard with Ten Cate as assistant, and Kenny as DoF for me.

Yeah he did, although to be fair, he had Messi and Ronaldinho too. But yeah, he's someone we should be looking at. My only worry is that, being Dutch, he might naturally gravitate to Kuyt and keep him as an untouchable.

I think Galatassaray are 4th with a game in hand on the leaders and 2 points behind.

I feel bad, I completely slept through the game. Got in at 6 and thought it was a 3PM kick off, although by the sounds of it I haven't missed much.

Rafa's position is becoming untenable unless we have a quick resurgence. There's only so long we can be forced to endure this shite. I even have some sympathy with him for our shit squad, it's not all his fault. But at the very least we should be playing with some pride, self-belief and determination, and so far this season, Rafa seems incapable of injecting these valuable qualities into our players.
