Rafa... Yay or Nay?

Heh... I don't want him back, I've got alot of fond memories but he failed so I don't see the point why it keeps getting brought up, he's a potential nightmare for owners anyway and has already gone through losing the will and effort of his team here. I also don't see how many of his fans can justify their reasoning for bringing him back, he had enough time to get it right, Kenny's had a year. I don't particularly think there's a future for Kenny and while I would love to see him be a success, I can just about take drastic measures being taken for the benefit of the club, but appointing Rafa would just be a different avenue heading ultimately in the same direction with the ability to do teams in Europe glossing over continual stubborness and inconsistency on the domestic front.

Why is it that he 'would' comeback?
What about the fact he was sacked because he was shit and took the club backwards from being European champions to out of Europe and no trophies in 5 years?
Fuck that shit.

Do you really believe this shit? He might not have been our best manager ever, but that's just embarassing.

Wether I believe it or not is neither here nor there.
In his first season we were European champions
In his second we were FA cup winners
In his third we played in a final.
Then we gradually destructed whilst spending a kings ransom and ended his time with us outside the champions league.
So its a fact
European champions > 6 years > Out of Europe = Backwards.

Still at least he showed what he could do at Inter after us.........oooooh!

I think it's for the best if he didn't come back, for everyone's sake. This thread just reminds me that I couldn't take the unending cyberdrool from the more distinguished spastics on here, and of course the poor spastics themselves would struggle for any kind of equanimity - more so than usual.

Christ i'd forgotten about your inexplicable Rafa blind spot.
Just shut yer face fannyflaphead!!

Brains??

We will become the biggest laughing stock in Europe if we bring him back and fail.

Considering where we are now, I'd take that cycle again.

People forget we won nothing for 5 years with the following players well in their prime, or playing at a high level:

Reina
Hyypia
Carra
Gerrard
Mascherano
Alonso
Torres

If you can't win with that core, how on earth are you going to do it with our current team? NOT good enough ...

the fact we fucking had those players in our team says enough about rafa. and we had a bonafide title challenge with that team. we are a zillion miles away from were rafa had us. rafa's transfers pissed me off at times but i can't think of any manager who hasn't got a similar record with signings. i think we badly need rafa back.

Remind me again why we didn't win the league that year? Had to do with poor results against poor teams due to weird personnel moves, right? That's what we want to do with a team that still needs a few more players before it can compete?

How about his last season, we he won nothing, had us finish in 7th etc - that's what we badly need? How about his record at Inter Milan? Is that something we're really desperate for?

This is getting beyond ridiculous. We have decent owners it seems - what owners has Rafa ever got along with? We want to cause strife there? Really?

He did great in his first few years, built a wonderful team, set up the academy to succeed (hopefully) but he couldn't win the league when he had one of the best Liverpool teams in quite some time ... He hasn't had it for a while now - why waste another huge settlement fee once we let him go when the fans are furious with his 7th place finish and playing Carroll at LW.

man united had a better team that year. we also nearly had 2 champions league titles under rafa and won a few cups. he was remarkable for us. anyone who doesn't think so is a fucking moron.

I don't think winning the Carling Cup and/or winning the FA Cup is a sign of how good you are and conversely not winning them a sign of how bad you are.

A better team? What? They had to rely on two Macheda finishes to ensure the league stayed with them. We had a better team than them that year - stupid ass formations against weak opposition cost us.

We won 1 CL under Rafa, and 2 trophies. That's a good output over what 6 years? Yet you're complaining about Kenny's 1 in 1 year?

He wasn't remarkable. That's like saying Woy was average for us.

I want Kenny to sort it the fuck out next season is what i want, if they dont want to let him do that then i have absolutely no problem letting Rafa have another go.
