I must say, I find Rafa's positivity and general tone to be quite uplifting. Good to see such assurances in my opinion.

It takes some gut really to go out and make *guarantees* like this baring our recent spell in mind.

I think it only really serves to underline the fact that Rafa is really feeling the pressure right now.

In the past he's been rather reluctant to be drawn on our chances with regards to anything, however now with the support of the fans rapidly dwindling, he's trying to restore a bit of faith. It sounds a little desperate.

Agree.

But I'm still of the opinion it's a good sign that he's actually sounds a bit desperate in some odd way.

Untill now he's seemed rather convinced that we would turn it around but at this stage he's not so much obviously, hence he's really desperate to get us back to winning ways. He knows it's make or break for him (at least I reckon it is) to make it to 4th and the hunt starts now. It needs too.

I've got a great feeling about tonight to be honest, but we still need to score our second goal pretty soon after we've got the first one.

Hopefully as Ryan has already said the KOP will make sure the goals will arrive in time.

I like you as a poster but you've said this the whole season ... and I feel every time you say this, it's like a kiss of death!

I know mate.. BUT I WON'T STOP BELIEVING...

In my defense, I've actually won 2 out of 3 matchthreads I've started. Against United and Everton.

How do you like them apples?

Speaking of which. Did you see Wenger during the 1st half? He looked like he was about to break down!

khl, if the world was ending and we were all about to be vaporized by a nuclear warhead, you would still be looking at the angle of approach of the nearest missile and saying you thought it was a good sign.

And how will beating Wigan at home 'fuck the doubters' or prove anyone wrong?
[/quote]

It won't. It was a light hearted reference to him setting himself up for a fall.

I'm not going to bother reading what he's said in that interview. We won't finish top 4.

I've lost all hope in him this season mate. He's sticking his neck out tonight too with his line up.
