Gravenberch looks like the Gini replacement we've missed.

These Afro-surinamese ballers are powerful, excellent dribblers and very technical. Generally woeful goalscorers (from midfield) though (especially when you consider their talent).

Ratings as I saw it.
....

I know ratings are traditionally constrained to 5-8 (with the occasional 9) so a 5 means "a bit poo" but fear (and please don't let Shay_k read this) we do need to go lower for Irish Kev. A bit of an Onana tonight.

Poor - Kelleher
Average - Chambers Gomez
Good - Harvey Jones Jota Nunez Trent Matip
Excellent- Endo Grav

Kids got stuck in and Mo does what Mo does.

It just said 'better than mac'

Pretty substantive interview from Klopp. Oh, and Joe Cole is a surprisingly decent pundit.

Lolz at the Donkey - Gravenberch to the rescue!!!!

(He gets an assist right?)

Not sure how UEFA will count it, but Transfermarkt sadly doesn’t award the assist to Nunez. Conversely, Gomez, Jones and Gakpo all get an assist for their roles in the first, 3rd and 5th goals respectively.

The whole game was entertaining AF, but I can't stop watching that first goal. The run by Jota was sublime. Just incredibly quick speed of mind to take advantage of a flat footed defence. I really did not expect him to do THAT when he won the ball.

Though after the game I'm tempted to just say it was Gravenberchesque.

Ryan Gravenberch today in Europa 70 mins
1 goal
3 chances created
96% pass accuracy
5 ball recoveries
7/11 duels won
2/3 tackles won
2 interceptions

What on earth were Tuchel, Nagelsmann and Bayern doing?!
Will you pleaaase stop posting stats like that? It's upsetting Moron who is convinced he gives the ball away too much.

Agreed. I don't know how anyone could spend years training with Alisson and not take one step towards an attacker who is bearing down on goal. It was schoolboy goalkeeping.

It's not the first time either, where he's given me the impression that he has just a bit too much ice in his veins.

That's our backup CB

Having trouble understanding this thing about him being short ? - his taller than Mac, Harvey, Salah, Trent, Robbo, Jotta, and probably the others that are less than 5ft10 in our squad. Also that clip when he joined and Klopp went to meet him - it was not like Klopp (who is what 6ft2/3 ?) was about to step on him, the top of Endo's Head is jus above Klopp's eye line. So what the fuck are some of you on about regarding his height ?

I'm not a sports expert or any class of a footballer, and I am a fan of Endo's.
I didn't actually know of him before he came to Anfield but apparently he has played as CB for his previous club(s).
That being said I do think a CB should be at least 6ft.
