Decent finishing tonight. We haven't created endless chances, but Taki and Origi have been clinical when needed, which is exactly what you want from your bench options.

The pair are deserving of some PL minutes.

yea i asked this earlier or can we shift one to the right at times to give Trent a break

I think that Robertson is a much better player when playing really well, but he hasn't been at his highest level for a year. I think we might have issues being narrow on the right if we did that.

Eays work in the end has to be said.

Kelleher or Minamino MOTM.

Game changer at 1-0 and the other with 2 nicely taken goals.

true, I’ve no idea if it would work but Tsimikas is making us ask these questions which is great. Robertson definitely deserves a season where we look after him.

Norwich played a weakened side, so they too seem not to bothered about this comp, the only team which seems at all bothered is City.

Fraud selected a weird side....5 big hitters up top and 6 kid at the back I've never heard of.

5-5 on pens between QPR and the Ev

6-6....

Godfrey has his saves but keeper was "off" his line. FFS.

Obvs scores the 2nd attempt, absolute cheat.

7-7

Tom Davies misses LOL

8-7 QPR through, Oh dear Ev Hahahahahaha.

QPR knock Everton out on penalties ! Nerve wracking with first 14 penalties scored before Davies missed and QPR wrap it up.

Just seen 2 of the worst pens ever in the Fulham Leeds shout out.

6-5 Leeds...

Fulham out.

Modo called it - I have to agree. Tsimkas crosses the ball like a boss. What an unexwpected but happy surprise he's been.

Excellent : Kelleher MotM

Very good : Mini,
great improvement on the first half and two class finishes, Konate (man he's so calm, like a young VvD in more ways than one - he's going to score from headers too), Gomez and Bradley was good all night bar his penalty aberration and losing his man once in the second, ahead of Neco for me. Morton - really good, very composed, good passing range, surely a bright future. He looked great in pre-season and followed it up here to show that wasn't a fluke.

Good : Gordon, Jones, Origi (much better in the second and good headed goal)

Average : Tsimikas (cracking cross but not enough overall)

Poor : Keita, Robbo, Ox. (Utter utter shite in the first but the change in formation moved him front left where he was better but by no means good)

Why bring Hendo on? Made no sense at all to me. Klopp picked the right team to start, right move to bring on Morton but what was he doing bringing on Robbo and Hendo? Why? Nothing to gain and an injury waiting to happen.

But Robbo is still much stronger defensively and has a great ability to anticipate a pass, intercept and launch a break. And, he is still a good crosser, just a touch below his prior standard.

I would not want Tsimikas playing against the bigger teams, but with those that sit back, I think he does perfectly well.

Think you're being generous on Bradley. He was rash on a few occasions. Not unlike Tsimikas last season. Just needs an old head like Hendo, Milner or Van Dijk to guide him. Konate was concentrating on his own game.

Will get better I'm sure.

I agree, I'm only talking about his crossing. He wasn't that good defensively today.

They travelled all the way to Norwich...

I thought in the first half our midfield was mostly rubbish. They worked through our press and had lots of possessions in front of our defenders. We were much improved with Morton coming on and Minamino shifting back to midfield in the second.

Bradley was average at best.

Ox, much better in the 2nd but still not good enough and I don't really know how he fits into the first team.

Konate and Gomez were pretty much playing on their own. You don't get a sense of partnership in there. Both are superior athletes and they rely on their speed and recovery but they need to get that composure to work together as a backline.
