I don't see any way Nunez is left out here. Bobby has done well but 3 games in 7 days is asking alot and we are playing CL football next week so we will need him. Yes Everton are going to try and rile him up and the crowd will be on his back but he needs to seize the opportunity and play his heart out, show he won't be intimidated or wound up and draw a line under it. If he's protected here by virtue of being left out to mitigate against his own temper then that's a green light for every other team in the league to have a go. He needs to show he's a professional.

Also there zero chance Klopp is dropping Trent or Robbo for this. It's simply not happening. I'd play Matip if fit, and whichever one of Arthur/Jones is available. Milner will be gassed out after about 20mins.

1st goal decides this, we get it and we can open them up. If we concede they will make Newcastles time wasting look amateurish.

Sounds about right and we don't have Origi to save us this time

Tale of two forwards in Mersey derby

Seven games into the season in all competitions and Frank Lampard can finally select a recognised striker he wants in an Everton shirt. Providing someone at the Premier League has registered Neal Maupay in time for the Merseyside derby, that is. Lampard and Jürgen Klopp will be relieved to concentrate on the renewal of old rivalries after the distractions of a transfer window that both believe dragged too long into the season. Everton are without a win in the Premier League but building gradually. A derby debut for Maupay, signed from Brighton last Friday but not cleared to play at Leeds on Tuesday, would offer a desperately-needed presence up front. Klopp’s striking options are rich by comparison but also involve a dilemma. Does Darwin Núñez come straight back into the Liverpool side having served a three-match ban for head-butting Joachim Andersen last time out? Goodison Park would be the perfect place to find self-restraint and redemption. AH

There's no way Nunez is starting in this, but he should be chomping at the bit to get on and prove and redeem himself.

Jota on bench - good option.

I think we should start Nunez ... he'll want to destroy them. He's a player who WILL feed on this kind of atmosphere ... Release him ...

Have we missed something and has had his 3 game ban extended to a 4?

If not then there is a way he starts this.

"there's no way he starts"

But if he's back, surely there is a way he starts....

Saying I doubt he'll start is very different, no?

I don't think he will start. Going off Klopp's usual behaviour, there's no way he lets a player who's fucked up and potentially cost us points (against United), walk straight back into the team. Especially given that Firmino has played quite well too.

Nah, that'd just give them an excuse to why they lost whereas we beat them with 10, makes them look more shit than they are which they didn't think prior was possible.

No. He's a player who will probably break someone's legs in this kind of atmosphere.

...😵

Yes he needs to play. Esp In their penalty box
