Another Misplaced morning hissy fit from Froggy would be a better term, not really funny or healthy for the forum but allowed to happen. SCM is like meta without moderation now.
Let’s hope Salah plays better or knives would be out again. No Diaz, Jots and give Szbo a go. Would also stick Endo in for Macca in for this game seen as away, some added stability in center to help Gravy at least first half. Macca gives away too many fouls.
They have a great backline, decent middle - though very very reliant on one player for creativity, and limited goal scoring threats and meh goalkeeper.
They're not a team that's nearly as good as we were in competing with City (or even Arsenal last year - health has been a factor this year, but their attacking play is just not there).
Trent has been more inconsistent than usual the last month or so. Misplacing passes a lot. MacAllister is the other one I've noticed doing it too. I agree about Bradley, we look more defensively coherent with him in the team anyway. I might even put Chiesa in on the left with Jota and Salah the other two forwards. Endo, Grav and Harvey in the middle. And then Kostas, Van Dijk and Ibou alongside the Tayto Terrier. Fuck it. Too many of our players are playing inconsistently at the moment.
There's no way Slot makes five changes to a team for a league game.
Tsimikas and Jota have to come in.
They're the two essentials. I'm ambivilant on Jones/Szobo - both gave been off it lately. The thing in Jones favour is he keeps the damn ball, which we can benefit from as the whole team has been careless with it recent games and it kills the momentum of attacks.
We have to hope Allison and Konate return to pre season levels, too. As it stands there's not enough players consiatently in form across the starting eleven and they have to start putting that right.
Brentford are not as good defensively as Forrest, but they can be as equally damaging on the counter. It will be a game for Grav, VVD and Konate to have to be right on it in terms of covering the space and winning the first and second balls. If we do get ahead then I'd welcome Endo coming on earlier to hold with Grav and provide some structure down our right hand side to mitigate for Trent and Konate getting targeted.
