That Forest thread was probably one of the most heated match threads we've ever had. Even posters that usually are quite calm and collected were agitated.
I understand why though, we're seeing our season slowly fall apart and we've been here so many times in the past few years.

Yes and schedule wise this month is great for us. Our best players have been allowed rest and we only have one injured player. Too bad we're fucking up.

No Afcon, Christmas games with enough rest, but we can still get this show back on the road. We just need to stop conceding that first goal, galvanise that midfield is key for me and get Konate/Gomez back in form. Not so worried about strikers, they will score.

Our game is based on us baiting teams to pressure us. They're not taking the bait anymore.
Maybe, but Slot is very adaptable so he should be able to change that. Isn't this what we said about Klopp before, teams figured us out when we kept conceding first? I feel we aren't doing the basics right defensively especially during critical periods. Gravy wasn't great first half and that includes whole midfield, Macca is at times easily overrun and seems to just concede fouls consistently, His average per game is nearly 3 last time I loooked. Trent seems to have stopped defending since back from injury and Salah isn't probably not helping him enough at times too. I know it's simplified but maybe fixes are simple initially for next game.
Our last 6 games (goals) : 2, 6, 3, 5, 2, 1 ... ave. of just under 3 goals per game ! Doesn't seem like anyone has actually figured us out 😉
Forest thread was great fun. Its the standard 2 vocal groups in a match thread, with everyone else just watching. On the 1 side you've got the "Why the fuck aren't we winning when we're battering them, everyone on the pitch is shite" and the "we're top of the league, everyones being a pussy" groups. Of course, reality is somewhere in the middle of those 2; but it's great fun when we're shite. Much easier to vent the anxiety out
Well it started with Man U and we were forced to change it mid game. We didn't manage to score against Spurs and you know what happened against Forest

We've had a relatively easy run of fixtures, and we're conceding more now than at the start of the season. Other teams are hitting their stride and we're kinda reverting to last years "well we'll score more than you!" mentality, which worked until it didn't
And i'm not even including the spurs cup game (i'm leaving accrington out because if we conceded against them, the back line should have been shot)
But the comment was about us scoring and how teams sit back more. It hasn't stop us scoring - it's generally the other end that has cost us.

Nunez should be saved for the CL games. Jota is fresh enough to start Brentford. It would be refreshing if Slot told the team to start strong and a few of them to empty the tanks in the first 65 mins (Jota, Mo, Szobo/Jones) and get it in a place where we can deploy Endo to bring it home.
