I'd go 4-2-3-1

taa - matip - vvd - robbo
hendo fabinho
ox (some width) jones kostas
jota

We cannot play 4-3-3 with the squad we currently have - unless Mane and Salah come back for the games.
Fucking ridiculous.
We have to put our best players on the pitch, not try to have lightweights fill in for Mo/Mane. This still doesn't alleviate the problem though. It's better but we need people getting to the line and cutting it back - look how much better we were when we did that.

------- Konate ---- Matip ----- VvD
------(or Gomez)

TAA -------------Fabinho ---------- Robbo

-------Hendo -- Firmino --- Jones

---------------------Jota

Mo would’ve done fuck all too. We’ve seen it time and time again we don’t break down teams.

If we did sell the greedy fucking hobo dressing cunt we’d have £100 plus million talent out there.
What we've seen time and time again is our inability to win despite going in front.....

How many times this season have we FAILED to score in any 1 game?

We may do but he’s been out a year so may take time.
Real question is, will we spend ever spend such money again?
People are going on about selling both of our leading scorers and assuming we will spend it all on pound for pound on a younger replacement.
More likely FSG will put it towards buying another shit US sports franchise at this rate. Happy to be proven wrong.

We failed to score and break down against Leicester. We also struggled against wolves and Villa in the last 6 weeks even Newcastle was a hard slog at times. It’s been our issue for years. Sit in tight and compact we struggle and get frustrated because we only have that one way of playing.

Well today was just odd I've been to a few games this year and to be honest we just looked flat and our of form, very odd plus the red card just didn't help us alot of the time you would have thought we had 10 men.

I guess it's half time and to be honest if we turn up next Thursday it would be great to knock captain Scarlets cunts out at their place

There's no upside to using Minamino in these games. He doesn't have a long term future with us, and he's taking time away from youngsters like Gordon, who admittedly is not ready, but is not going to get up to speed playing in the reserves or against L2 opposition.

In their defence(the players) they haven't been able to train properly these last few weeks. Some also had COVID.
Worst case scenario, we'll only be competing in the CL by the end of January.
Yes, I'm saying that the league run is over.

I don't think thats a controversial statement in any real sense. We are 11 points behind City and we look pretty shaky, realistically it's a battle for 2nd with Chelsea. CL is the target now

Question needs to be asked as to why we haven't brought in a Forward yet.

We have always knows that Origi is almost out the door and we are done with him as a long term prospect to step up.
We also know Firmino's magic is diminishing.
We are also not doing our best to keep Salah in our squad. Whilest we pay high wages for someone like Milner for what is essentially a filler role that can easily be replicated within the squad.

Minimally we should have brought in a Forward, and that strengthens our negotiating position with Salah, not weakens. We are repeating the same mistakes of last season. We should have brought the player in the summer. We are already late....if we are waiting for the right player, then we better get it right...... can't let things decay and make a mistake in the transfer window on top of that.

Klopp waffling. We learn from this. We will definitely learn from this.

The players don't seem to learn because against the low block we continue to struggle.

Haven't watched a single game of this competition, and I didn't watch last night. How bad were we?

Not surprising to me that we struggled. That Henderson-Milner midfield needs shooting, and our system relies on our attack having pace.

We all said that we'd struggle to score in Jan without Salah or Mane, and the only thing we can be thankful for I suppose is that we haven't had many games in Jan.

Open your wallets, you FSG cunts!

Just like to ask why we sold Shaq if we weren't going to sign another attacker? Shaq had his issues, but one thing he offered is the ability to go 4-2-3-1 in the kind of games where Salah and/or Mane were missing.

It seems the entire purpose of all the sales in the summer was to fund the Konate deal. What a joke our spending has become.

I thought he wanted to move on?

He probably did.

I'm on the fact that the club hacks kept feeding us the line through the summer that we needed sales to make another signing.

We sold Wilson, Grujic, Shaq and Awoniyi and raised almost 40 million. What was all that money for then?

agent fees and contracts?

On the one hand, both teams we have struggled with against ten men, Chelsea and Arsenal, are very solid units. Arsenal have sorted out the backline and keeper and improved immeasurably as a result. This isn't the same Arsenal as last year, when it would have been a really shit result. However it does add more fuel to fire that without Mo Salah, we would realistically be scrapping for a top four place this season.

Without Salah and Mane there's no pace and creativity in the squad. We could have played for years last night and not scored. The fullbacks, Trent in particular, let us down with the delivery and rest offered nothing. We desperately missed Origi's presence in and around the box, and Thiago's/Shaqiri's ability to thread a ball through.

The Jones cameo and the Minamino run and shit cross were the only real highlights of an otherwise abject attacking performance. When a CB is the most attacking outlet you know you've got problems.

Well to be fair had Minamino kept his cool, and the ball down, we would have scored.

Just googled what Shaqiri has been up to as I haven't heard anything about him since he got sold. Apparently has been terrible all season, got dropped and Lyon already want to get rid asap
