All in here. I didn't see it, but taped it.

What's the word - anything to be optimistic about. How was the D-fence?

That was the biggest shitfest I've witnessed in a long time. Lazy, cowardly and worryingly absolutely not one positive thing to take out of the game. It was obvious we were going to lose from 10mins in. A fucking shower. See you all in a few days when I've done kicking the shit out of my Samsung TV.

Kneejerk or Spot on?

If you haven't seen it and have it recorded, then I wouldn't bother watching it

Yep - delete the recording - save yourself done angst.

This season is starting to become more disappointing than the Star Wars prequels.

I've not felt this angry about us for quite a while.....

It really is starting to get depressing.... If we don't stop this slide soon Rodgers will be gone at end of season

Balotelli was completely cleaned out by that cunt Janmaat and not a single of our players went ape shit about it.

Unbelievable lack of passion out there today.

yeah... i thought the same, the tackle on Allen was a disgrace also...

It seems like Suarez did the teamtalks last season because this season we start slow in most games and really struggle to get any rhythm from then on. His all action style of chasing around and shouting and cajoling of teamnates was infectious. Maybe the others followed his example and that was why we pressed higher up the pitch. It could be a tactical change but if it is it really isn't helping us.
Also the passing about at the back just enables teams to get organised against us and we never seem to benefit tactically or offensively because if it. If anything it tends to put us in trouble. Winds me up that we play just as many backwards passes as forwards ones.
One of the things that is said about Suarez is how hard he works in training and how he plays with similar intensity in training. I wonder if the trainings intense now he's gone because most of our players want so much time on the ball it's a joke! They seem surprised when someone tackles them in a match and when other players are physical with them. I've no idea whether this is the case but i wouldn't be a bit surprised.

It's something that's crept up on me, because a while ago we seemed to have them in every position, but there's a total lack of leaders in this team now. I'm not sure there's a single one.

That's as big a problem as anything. The idea that Lovren would be our rock like defensive leader.... Jesus that's a real indictment of Rodgers I'm afriad.

i thought our season would go exactly like this. the summer signings weren't right at all. all good players but it wasn't right for us.

We simply have no idea against a packed back line. One man made such a big difference last year. And now he is gone.

Ah well aim for 6th.

I can't even see how getting sturridge back will improves us, we will still play the ball at a glacial pace, we will still not be able to pass and we will still let stupid goals in.

Rodgers is a bellend starting that team today. As soon as I saw it, I knew we were fucked.

The difference in our play when Balotelli had a partner against Swansea was unreal, yet he abandons that.

We played with 2 forwards last season with Sturridge and Suarez so why the fuck is he playing 1 upfront now? If he just going to swap Mario with Sturridge when he's fit? It's not going to have some major effect. Plus, if that doesn't work, then what?

Can't fucking wait for Real Madrid.

Missed the game but like I said in the match thread, I kinda knew that we were gonna lose after seeing the line up.

Won't bother watching the game but I'm guessing that the midfield was wank.

Would Lucas have made a difference today?

Yeah I'm not sure what's happening to the team. Even in Rodgers' first season you could tell we had a good passing and distribution system, which refined and made it better in the second. But its all gone to nought now and we can't string more than a couple of passes when bringing the ball up. It can't just be a matter of teams wisening up to our style of play. Our movement is so shit it destroys the passing game, and vice versa.

I'm sorry but it's not that bad a squad. At all. And even if it was, BR has built it. Yeh yeh the players this the players that, but it's his fucking job to buy the right players, utilise them appropriately and manage and motivate them correctly.
Honestly, I don't see anything he is doing right at the moment. Nothing.
I don't want him sacked, as I think he's a good manager, but he's more than happy to take the plaudits when we are killing every team put in front of us ala last season, so he should have balls enough to admit he's to blame now and that he'll do his best to sort it.
The blame lies at his feet.
Sort it out and get us back to playing the way know we can.

It's starting to look like any success Rodgers has had here was on the back of Suarez and building our formation and style around him.
Now he's gone, all of our massive weaknesses that were papered over by Suarez are becoming massively more evident.
Keeper-terrible
Defence-not bad players but utterly unorganised and lacking leadership
Midfield-needs a dm and is badly organised and not arsed. Playing too slow.
Attack-balotelli looks bollocks without a partner, and sterling, coutinho, lallana don't look like they'll score a goal unless it deflects in off someone's arse.

We've played about 10games and looked good in 1. That's on Rodgers for me. Sturridge coming back isn't going to make mignolet a better keeper, organise the defence or sort the midfield out.

Complicated this football lark innit. Just when you think you've got the hang of it, it all goes wrong. Mysterious.

Have you also noticed how everyone can see what's wrong and how to correct it except the Manager?
Baffling.

Do you think that with 28 games to go and admittedly having lost 1 of the last 5 league games we can improve when we get our top striker back?

We didn't have one single player who looked like they wanted to win today.

Watching that is shit.

Trust me when I say this.

If, by some miracle, we beat Real at the Bernabeu, this forum will go so berserk that you'd have thunk we had won the 2005 CL final all over again, and suddenly, everyone is a hero again and Brodgers is the best manager in the world.
