That actually reminds me - didn't we win 2-3 away at Upton Park last season only after Diame went off injured?
pretty much .

Anyway, just for kicks - with our victory, Man United officially lost their league title defence today. 😀
BumpYou know what would top this evening off for me.. Someone posting that. 'Andy Carroll falling down horse' gif
Pyar cuntIt sounds like Allardyce had gone the full John Beck for this game. Gerrard was just interviewed and said Allardyce had tried all the tricks in the book, from an over-heated changing room to making sure the team coach was left stranded far away from the stadium, etc. How progressive.
And yet, on the "Penalties" thread you refer to the reaction on redcafe. Confusing...Couldn't care less.

And of course ice cold veins to score both penalties, especially the second one, with so much riding on it. He was great the whole game for me; didn't rush things, passed neatly, and of course, made some of the boss pings you mentioned. He was easily my MOTM today.
Also, while our subs were boss, I thought Allardyce's subs were crap - removing Nolan and Diame helped us more than them.
Diame looks excellent every time we play them. With a ludicrously priced get out clause (2.5 million or something) he'd be a very useful option to bring in. He's a great tackler and strong midfielder but can pass and dribble too. I rate him very highly.
I've not been that impressed with Diame when I've seen him. Perhaps I've caught him on off days but too often he lets the ball get away from him and tries to dribble past people too much. He's strong, I'll give him that, but technique and decision making look to be lacking.
Christ that's amazing. I've always liked him .. would be a great piece of business.
