If I remember it correctly Lallana wasn't involved in any of the goals.
Lallana got the plaudits alongside Firmino and Coutinho as they ran the show from the front (against City). Lallana also set up Coutinho who tapped home but was judged to be offside. He had a brilliant game at Chelsea too, which they both played in. You're taking a singular game and making something from nothing. Most people's preferred front three would be the one that started on Sunday, because it's the best we've got. It's not an agenda and we don't need to make a case by making up some ridiculous bollocks about them not playing well together. Stick the two of them alongside Sturridge and I bet that combination doesn't fall flat on it's face either.
We've spent most of the last two seasons without a decent recognised forward (if we discount the square peg in the round hole). It's effected both of them. I'm loathed to get into some pointless agenda driven spat about Lallana vs Coutinho, it's stupid that there should have to be an either/or argument just because you're a fan of one of them and not the other. You spend most match threads laying into Lallana, you spent the post Match thread talking up dropping Lallana (because we beat the worst side in the Premiership well). It's bordering on obsessive, again.
Just like you've had it in for Sakho and Lovren from the off too, because they both happen to be left sided centre backs. Ergo, they replaced Agger. Most people don't rate them because they're shit, but you take it upon yourself to see that they fail to prove some point no one gives a fuck about.
