Is it only I or that we can no longer see the action video clips when they discuss the goals etc. Videos of them pundits talking are no problem but when they discuss the goals and tactics with the videos, it just goes still on the pundits but with their voice and background football clips noise.

That's the only way the videos won't be taken down by Youtube, unfortunately...

It's because of copy write, the videos are editing that way.

A fucking weirdo.
He’s supporting Liverpool because he wants the CL trophy to come back to England. And it sounds like he’s not even English.
How can he celebrate Liverpool goals like that.
Does it for the clicks/views.

The amount of miserable cunts I’ve just heard walking out the ground is unbelievable. Shouldn’t be allowed a ticket.

Would you have took a 2-0 win before the game? (Cos that’s basically what it is)

Yes?

Shut the fuck up then. Gobshites.

This. Exzactly this.

I literally told a colleague 'would you have taken 2-0'?

Obviously.

Hahaha this bit of the interview killed me

Interviewer - ‘De Francesca says that if any of his players dont believe they can come back from this they wont be picked’

After a kerfufle at the door

Klopp - ‘I would like to say that if any of my players think Roma wont be trying to come back they wont play........but I dont have enough left so they will probably play anyway’

Brilliant

Don't get me wrong, a 10 minute blip costing 2 goals is a pain in the arse.
Needs to do sometihng to sort it out.
Losing the OX is a real blow too.
The Roma leg would have been a great opportunity for him to boss the midfield and shut them down.

He made the first chance with his touch and pace, the second was behind him.

After that he always looked to lay it off and still got into position to score the important 3rd that started the 2nd half rampage.

Not his best night but I can't fault his application of his decision making, just a little bit of execution.
I can and most definitely will fault his execution, because that's the most important bit!

Give a fuck if he can see the pass, fucking complete the pass. You get in a shooting position, by all means you don't have to score, but you have to test the keeper

Wijnaldum losing all traces of his attacking ability is one of football's great mysteries.

The man used to be a prolific goalscorer from midfield before he joined Liverpool.

I can understand that he's become very conservative due to a new role, but how does one completely lose the ability one had?

This game once against confirmed that 3 at the back is really suicide against our front 3. It took us 20 minutes to figure out how to get past their midfield, but once we did they were dead. I would be very surprised if they don't switch to the back 4 for the return leg.

Bad news for us is that in the possible final, neither Real nor Bayern are likely to repeat the mistakes of Pep and Di Francesco.
Though the plus is they will both want to dominate possession and move play up the pitch with a high back line. Either will suit our style but whether we are good enough to overcome the advantages they possess in other areas is another matter.

A bit strange how our arse went the last ten. Shouldn't be too hard to sit back, close ranks. We are not a boys team.

Can't believe the stick Lovren is getting; looks like Ben agrees with me

Liverpool 5 AS Roma 2: Match Ratings

24 April 2018 11:32 pm by Ben Johnson

BRING on yer Roma by the score.
Next week bring them on by the thousands. I’ll be the lad dressed as a Knights Templar on a holy mission, with shark suit Under Armour and a massive suit of armour over the top. Go ‘ed yer shithouse, stab my arse now.
I went to Roma on the way to Athens in 2007, by the way. It’s sound, you know. Got gripped by the bizzies for getting a Dirk Kuyt banner out in front of the Colosseum and got jumped by eight pickpockets who mistook us for silly Americans and were quite startled when me mate Moggo lashed their ringleader against the wall and we started lashing digs out for a laugh. That aside, I remember it being like Bootle Oriel Road. I’ll tell you more next week.
Heard a fella, God’s honest truth, say the following on The Kop after the final whistle: “That German cunt got it wrong again.”
Seriously. I couldn’t believe my fucking ears. We are leading by three after the first leg of the European Cup semi final and people aren’t happy. I would suggest he needs to give it a rest. Did our old teams used to beat everyone in European games 8-0 every week? Did they fuck. Soft auld cunt.
Karius: 7
Made an amazing save that went on to hit the bar. When I say amazing, I mean I was amazed. Genuinely amazed at what had gone on.
Trent: 7
Thought he struggled with his distribution, maybe a little bit keen. Had a silly shot second half. Fair enough, mind you, I’d be shooting from me own half in the semi of a European Cup.
Degsi: 8
Gets an extra point for pretending to be injured after their first. Got stuck under the ball? Sound, just limp about for a bit and then lose your head. Aside from that, was excellent. Sounds like a contradiction in terms that, doesn’t it?
Virgil: 8
Not sure what went on. Had to play well as we were five up and finished three ahead in a Euro semi.
Andy Robbo: 9
Best defender. Best lad. What a fella, fella. A fucking nuisance. Sound and Italian are you, yeah? What’s that you have ordered there, mate? Bit of bruschetta to start? Affogato for dessert? Veal Milanese for main, yer? Giz a bit. Giz your spoon. Let’s have a go. Go ‘ed. Shite that.
Henderson: 8
Struggled a bit against their very impressive baldy fat fella until The Reds ran their legs off and their fat baldy fella packed in for 20 minutes. Snapped and snarked about as per. Is right, lad.
Oxo: 5
Half a leg. Unlucky really, weren’t he? That said, his presence as they were half preparing to chop his leg off was a distraction for everyone and our collective heads went to bits. Should have put a tent up like The National or ran off with him on the stretcher like fucking Saving Private Ryan or some shit.
Milner: 7
They couldn’t believe he was still running. No one could. He’s like Mo Farah without the Quorn overdose.
Sadio: 8
Jesus. Could have scored a million first half. Blazed the first and tried to make sure for the second chance, twatted it to Kenny instead. That said, scored in the European cup semi there, didn’t he?
Mo Salah: 10
I’m not sure I have ever seen a better player or a better performance in the flesh. Genuinely stunning. The Reds penned them in and penned them in and penned them in to no avail. Disallowed goal, missed chances, Mo gets it and puts it more top bin than Souness’s ’84 pen. Stunning. The dink for the second. The dink for the second. You think we aren’t scoring next week ’cause they haven’t conceded at home? Fuck you and your silly fucking head.
Firmino: 9
Genuinely one of the best centre forwards we have had. Glorious for Mo’s first. Scored two, including a header that took so long to go in it might count in our first group game next year.

SUBS:
Gini: 9

Come on and looked like he had had his arse refurbished, like Pimp My Ride. Took his ability to hold people off with it to a new level, like they were wings of steel. Fucking Batfink, lad. Gini, can I borrow it before and after the game next week lad?
Ingredients: 6
Didn’t help us at all. That said, would love him to score next week and jump in that fountain.
We will twat them next week. Their two goals does nothing but keep them honest. Bring on yer Roma by the score, yer?

One of the best performances I have ever watched. Wave after wave after wave of controlled aggression, going for the jugular. We just scored 5 goals in a CL Semi. This was the moment the country took a step back and said "wow, fair play". It says a lot that we could be disappointed that it was only 5. It says even more that some are upset that we conceded 2, because we are redefining our standards game by game, round by round.

We will go to Rome and we will have at least one 10-15 minute spell where we put 2 past them and the game is dead.

COME ON YOU REDMEN

Yeah, hindsight I'm not as fussed by lovren

Error for the goal, but to be fair, it was an excellent ball and excellent control

We still need to buy better

Not sure what to make of the goal. No pressure on the midfielder. Beautiful pass and a Nice run and finish. Remember that these guys are in the semi in CL so they can play some football.

The tweet indicates that Lovren should try to play him offside? That can't be serious. He must try to defend the situation surely.

Yeah, horrible error in judgement. The ball was 8 fucking inches above his head.
But in general he’s doing very well against good attackers in most games. Want him replaced, but he’ll do for now.

Yeah he should have just followed the ball to Dzeko so that the only option would have been to head from a tight angle or hold on to it waiting for support. Forget about any offsides.
As you say though, we gave that midfielder all the space in the world. We normally never allow that to happen.

Two errors in one. Just to make sure that he fucked up royally.

Yes, he has to play the player, not the ball.

Roma took a chance by playing a high risk / high reward defensive style. Closing down our defenders and keeping a high line at the back. I would have thought that's the last way you'd want to play with our pacey counter attack being our main strength. TAA's balls out of defence were largely exceptional and he instigated a number of our successful attacks.

When Mane wss fluffing his chances in the first half i began to worry but Mo's finish for the first was outstanding. Everyone knew what he wanted to do when he got that ball and they still couldn't do anything about it.

I feel sorry for Firmino - he's having an outstanding season. One of the best recent all round attacking seasons we've seen from an LFC player and he barely gets a mention because Salah totally overshadows him.

We've been a different side in the second half of the season, and despite the odd fuck up, we seem to be a much better defensive unit than previously.
It would be easy to just say that VvD is the reason, and he is a massive improvement, but Robertson, Karius and TAA have all grown as the season has gone on. Moreno, Gomez and Mignolet have featured less and less and we're better for it. That's a significant amount of change to make mid season but credit to Klopp and the coaching staff for making it work.

It was almost unreal how the game flipped at around the 25min mark. They looked really comfortable and you could argue were on top. And then they got absolutely murdered for 60mins. You could tell at around the 70min mark that a few of them had just given up - Salah was getting in behind at will. It all changed when Roma made the long overdue change and we took Salah off. Shame.

The good thing - if we have any players left for next week - is that they have to come at us. If we can handle the pressure and atmosphere there, you'd have to think that we're good for a goal.

It was similar to the City away game in that sense, we seemed to take control out the blue and suddenly the game was ours. We have a good habit of doing that.

When the team was announced I was sure they were going With 5 at the back. 3 back against us is suicide, which Wenger have seen a few times. However their wide players didn't fill in as fullback's nor as wingers. They went lost and we had so much room out wide it was unbelivable.

We have a huge week Ahead preparing for the away game, but they got plenty to worry about as well.

Ya that was great.

Lucas has to be regretting his decision.

He'd have gotten games and win a CL
