Usual dodgy defending, but we played very well tonight against tricky opposition, away.

Lallana is a lovely footballer, FFS Brendan play that man every game...almost everything we did going forward came through him.

Markovic was boss also, full of running and had an end product...hopefully this kickstarts his Liverpool career because we're crying out for these big summer signings to come good, and quickly.

Great to see Sterling back in the goals after his shocker at Old Trafford.

Rodgers' made some big calls tonight, and they paid off for him. Maybe shut some people up for a few days at least.

Doubtful. Some of them would have nothing to say if he wasn't struggling.

Thought Froggy's ratings were a touch harsh; they're championship team but not championship standard and will be in the EPL next season. Like I said, the Chavs came away with a 3-1 victory over, arguably, slightly inferior opposition in Derby - and they were pushed harder than we were.

I like Jones but he simply doesn't have the reflexes to be a top class keeper. I do prefer the way he controls his area as opposed to Ming but he's still not dominant when the ball is floated into the six yard box.

Markovic had a superb opening 30 mins but he faded badly. He has a languid style that makes him appear lazy and hes going to infuriating on the days is not coming off dor him but if he can keep working on his fitness levels and gel with Lallana and Sterling we might just have a real player on our hands.

Given that the bulk of the team that started on Sunday played again tonight I think we might be forced to make some changes for Sunday even if Arsenal don't have a single fit midfielder

Do you think we should see Henderson and Markovic as our Wingbacks moving forward?

How did we play, I didn't see it.

Played 3-4-3 at a high tempo throughout, passed well holding possession for long periods, scored some well constructed goals (particularly the first), conceded several chances although looked better defensively when Sakho replaced Lovren, Manager made the right changes at the right time. Sterling missed a sitter and should've had the hat trick his performance deserved.

I thought the defence was rubbish as usual, no discipline and they're pulling each other out of shape all the time.
Up the other end, Lallana, Markovic, Sterling were all great, Coutinho good too. Gerrard, hendo, lucas their usual selves.
Markovic has probably done enough now in his last 2-3 games to deserve a start vs the arse. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think it'll make much difference with their attackers running at our defence.

Happy with the win but not reading too much into this performance. I know you can only beat what's put in front of you but the fact that Bournemouth rested 2 of their best midfielders and two of their defenders shows where their priorities lie.

It was an improved performance but can only be taken as a sign of progress if we play well against Arsenal too.

Bournemouth carved us up a few times, against better opposition will as usual get punished.

Stick with that forward line for now, as at least we are creating chances

It's good to see the team improve. It's never nice to see a Liverpool manager under so much pressure so well done to Brendan for the win.

Good performance from the team.. need to carry through to the arsenal game..

Lazar has to start every game... and stop playing Henderson in the mcateer role..

Is McLaughlin injured? He'd be ideal for that right wingback role, whether he can make the elusive step up to the senior set up is another matter.

Who do you drop for Markovic - Lallana or Coutinho?

I say that because, LWB is not going to be a good position for him, long term.

Also - what do we do about the striker - keep Sterling there until Sturridge is fit?

id jib off 352 personally in favour of 442.. drop Gerrard an Play Lucas as the holding Midfield with Sakho and Skrtel in central Defence

but if we are going to play that system..

Drop coutinho, Not a fan of 352.. against better sides we will be heavily exposed..

GK, LB, CB, CB, RB, CM, CM, Coutinho, Lallana, Markovic, Sterling

No. Henderson is just not a wide player. Markovic surprised me by how well he adapted but I don't think we'd get the best of him long-term (a) out wide and (b) that far back.

If we're playing 4231 - all for it.

Can & Lucas at CM?

Although there is a case for Gerrard in the attacking 3.

We have been playing 3-4-3.

Lucas & Can at CM

Lallana Hendo and Markovic
