Hello, I'm the guy who played on the other wing from Jordan Henderson.

Positives
*Lazar being boss.
*Sterling getting on the score sheet. Happy for him.
*Lallana finding space and being positive all game.
*RedNinja took the night off. 😉

Negatives
*Jones being worse than Mingolet.
*Lovren didn't get much of a chance to build some much needed confidence.
*Having to endure that pikies hair for 90 mins.
*Henderson playing RWB.

Heh, nice.

As I said a few weeks ago, those four should always be playing together until Sturridge comes back.

Henderson at RWB is a fucking abortion of an idea though. I don't like the idea of persisting with this system.

Also what the fuck is Rodgers' intentions with Borini? Bombs him out of the squad for a while and brings him back in tonight. Prick tease.

I agree. He should be at the center or not at all.

This system will have no chance vs arsenal. That much I'm certain of.

Lallana, Coutinho and Sterling cause defences so may headaches. Nice to see Markovic getting involved aswell. Last 2 games he has looked absolutely brilliant.

Me rikey!

I think 4 at the back, Lucas and Gerrard/Henderson/Allen sitting deeper with those 4 visionary cunts up front starts to look bery bery nice.

Always hard to know what to make of a game against a championship side but the Chavs went up against an, arguably, inferior Derby and won 3-1. They played very close to their top team as well and got pushed just as hard.

Lallana was outstanding; he has more space than most players cause he needs less. His touch and control are excellent.

Sterling was also good - scoring two including a beauty and generally looked positive all game. He likes playing up front - will be interesting to see what Rodgers does with him when Sturridge is back.

Coutinho - huffed and puffed, looked good but never quite cut them open

Markovic - he was very good first half but disappeared largely in the 2nd half. Stand by what I said in the match thread, he's fast, direct and dangerous with space but looks to need too much space to control and run with the ball. I've said all season he was a good buy and a good player who just needs some time and adjusting. He's getting there and the goal will surely do his confidence a lot of good.

Henderson - great assist but gave the ball away badly, terrible control and was saved only by his industry.

Gerrard - very calm and assured all match. Stunning effort early in the match, pinging passes almost like last season but never quite found the right ball at the right time to destroy them. Got up and down the pitch well though - hope his legs are fine for Sunday.

Lucas - nothing outstanding but he was ever present to recycle the ball, get in the way of their attacks and his passing was forward and direct. Didn't protect the back 4 as much as I thought he should have and gave them too much space just outside the area.

Have to say I found it hard to make heads nor tails of the back 3 and Jones. Looked good at times and all at sea on other occasions. Not confident - don't think the system is a good one and certainly don't think it would work against premier league opposition. Would be a shooting spree against Arsenal if we play that way.

Rodgers - liked the fact he went at them and very pleased he persisted with Sterling up front. Couple of good subs though the Borini one has me utterly mystified. Presumably he's got a plan in that regard but I've no idea what it is.
