Players Out On Loan

We are not quite Chelsea, but of the players out on loan should any be in the Squad for next season.

The only ones I can really think have a chance are Grujic, Wilson & Kent the later 2 can play in a forward line in 4-3-3, added to that Wilson is good at set pieces. Of the 3 Kent is maybe looking to move rather than go on loan.

We are thin on the ground for Homegrown Players we have 6 and could lose 2 in Sturridge & Lallana so the above could help as they are more experienced than the youth players.

I can't see Chirivella, Ejaria, Ojo or Woodburn having any future with us so they will probably be moved on.

I can't see Wilson staying either - some great goals but he doesn't appear to be a pressing, dynamic forward. Not sure on Kent as I don't follow the scottish league.

Shaqiri is also ahead of Wilson and we don't play with a 10...

Kent has done well this season, but the Scottish Premiership is roughly League One standard in England, so I think we can draw our own conclusions from that. Wilso has had one and a half very good seasons in the Championship so I think he needs to go out on loan to a PL team next season.
The other question is whether there is anyone coming through the academy who needs to be given chances?

[article]Nigeria’s Taiwo Awoniyi, who plays at Royal Excel Mouscron, has hinted that he would love to get the chance to prove himself under parent club, Liverpool, AOIFootball.com reports

Awoniyi has arguably been one of the best loan players this term for the Kops and will be willing to create an encouraging display when he returns at the end of the season to Liverpool.

Speaking in an exclusive with AOIFootball.com, the 21- year-old said he would fancy his chances for the new season.

“The goal for me has always been to be better than who I was before. I believe since joining the club I’ve not been the same player I was, and that is the most important thing; doing your best and praying God crowns your efforts.

“If eventually I’m granted the work permit, then I believe I would prove myself. Even when I impress without the work permit it will be difficult to be in the coach’s plan but the goal has always been to work hard and hope for the best. “If it happens one day, glory to God, if not, it’s not the end of the world. The future is long and bright that I believe,” Awoniyi said.

Something has changed with him - has he had an injury that caused him to lose pace? He had that short period of playing well for Wales and making some appearances for us. He was seemingly poor for Sheffield United and in the games I watched he was playing between the lines rather than on the shoulder of the last defender where i'd expect to see him. Can't see him staying unless Klopp has him on some sort of development plan.

Grujic is the only one who can come back and compete, but we're unfortunately stacked in midfield unless Milner leaves.

Not sure but Woodburn has never had pace tbh.

His problem is that his talents are all subtlety, intelligence and brilliant technique. Young players like that always struggle because they need to be in influential positions, and obviously nobody wants to trust them there.

So it's a tough one. Extremely talented player but hard to find him a spot. Like suso a few years ago actually.
