He's saying no fee agreed yet. That doesn't mean we're not negotiating...ben smith from beeb says it's all bollocks.
That's too low, it doesn't give me any 'feel-good' in fact it's depressing. I prefer 47%.
Oncy said it ages ago
Not sure about that. Gambles on form and quality are one thing, and I agree that in our position we have to take some of those, but almost all transfers represent a gamble to some extent anyway. Gambles on known injuries are another matter and I'd need some persuading to take them. If this move *does* go ahead, our medical team had better have got it right.
I really hope we go through with this guy, I think he'll be a character and that he'll be fantastic.
Didn't BR say Pepe has a future with us?Schalke manager saying no bids received for the lad - and reiterates 20m euro release clause.
I wouldn't worry about the injury - It'll be like the recoveries of Lucas and Skrtel, he'll come back but it'll take him a year to get back to top form.
It's a tricky decision - buy him now and risk him being sub par for a year .... he gets rubbished by fans and media alike and Rodgers doesn't look so clever. But the payoff from the move could be huge in the long run.
If we wait til January does his price drop ?
Genuine questions - how many games has he missed last two seasons cos of injury and when was the last time a foreign defender was an immediate success in the epl after being signed at the age or 21ish? Binny?
