I'm genuinely at a loss to explain how we keep winning game after game after game without almost ever dominating or playing at our best. This time it was Palace's goal contentiously disallowed by VAR, a couple of good chances missed by them and us scoring with a mis-hit shot that bounced in after 2 deflections and off both posts and an even scrappier winning goal.

I remember my own sense of sheer annoyance at various Chelsea teams over the years stringing together fluky 1:0 or 2:1 wins with deflected goals, contentious penalties and the like often being the difference – or Fergie's United always seeming to conjure up a late winning goal even after playing like absolute crap for 85 minutes – and I can understand other fans' annoyance at our own recent run of results. We haven't kept a clean sheet in 10 games and haven't scored more than 3 in the league since the opening day – yet this objectively indifferent run of performances has resulted in a historically great run of results. Why?

Huge win considering...
A) we were without Salah
B) we were largely shite
C) Palace were excellent
D) Zaha missed a great chance from 6 yards in stoppage time.

Come on Chelsea

Because we are so far ahead of the rest we only need to be at 60% to win most games.

It happens because for the first time in my lifetime there isn't a part of the pitch were we aren't stacked with quality football players.

That ability is now seemingly combined with what psychological work klopp and co are doing at the club , we are winners (at this moment in time)

9 out of our starting eleven played over the international break , only four of the palace starting eleven played during that two week period, it showed as did us missing mo Salah , who is a world class forward and integral to our play

Not a chance. Great form but they are nowhere a side who can get 90 pts
Who says that we're getting 90?
Leicester aren't bothered by European games, they can only focus on the premiership. They're definitely a sleeper team.

That was infuriatingly boss. I’d love us to go out and spank someone. But as someone said we are just fucking with the heads of city. Actually we’re fucking with the heads of everyone in the league.

Winning with them having a goal disallowed by VAR is going to make so many other fans fume. It’s boss.

I’ll be watching the city Chelsea game and once the rug rats are in bed then heading over to the fume. Tonight’s visit is sponsored by hobgoblin.

I don’t care how we win as long as we win. Glass half emptiers will say we will lose the race at this level of performance once the luck runs out. Half fullers will claim we can only get better as we’ve been pants so far, which would amazing.

Leicester are a real threat. Little distraction his season and no fixture pile up like us. Rogers is a decent manager and they have a very good squad.
Looking at the line ups tonight, I can see Chelsea doing City. 5-4

Are you seriously saying you see our side dropping 23+ points in the next 25 games? No chance. Sure we will have dip at some stage but will recover and finish with 90+ we’ve dropped 2 pts in 13!

Leicester are in a rich vein but will drop off without doubt.

We have a tougher schedule in the second half of the season. Leicester, Man C, Arsenal, Spurs, Everton all away.
We're still involved in all cup competitions. We need to be really lucky with injuries or sign someone.
Also last time people underestimated Leicester they won the shit.

Ya I’m not saying we are gonna get 105 pts but to drop below 90 now would be a serious collapse based on the last 50 games. The rest of the league just isn’t good enough.

Last time Leicester weren’t up against anywhere near the same level of opposition and finished on 81 pts.

Their form will drop off and teams fighting relegation will take points off them and others as always happens in the second half of the season.

Reading @rurikbird post, the team are definitely fucking with his head.

I get what you're saying, I'm just being a bit cautious I guess. Not taking anything for granted. Also, I believe that this year's Leicester team is better than the one that won the league.

  1. Said it before it came in and I'll reiterate it now... it will kill the game as we know it.

Work dictates I can't make it to the Etihad much at all now, but truth be.told, because of VAR, that isn't really bothering me that much.

    And that's sad :-(

Is anyone still bothering to keep count of how many points it’s given Liverpool?

Simply stunning that the red scousers and their cohorts continue to get away with the most blatant and persistent cheating I've ever seen. Suppose all those pigs with their snouts in the money trough are only interested in their own livelihoods at the expense of a level playing field.

The point swing must be huge when you add the decisions that have gone against us.

Yeah if anyone thought I had mixed feelings about winning money on Pool every week, they should have seen my temper tantrum at the disallowed goal and winner in my lounge.

I nearly kicked my beloved beagle standing up to shout at the tele when Kevin Friend waived away the obvious foul on Zaha by Lovren on the edge of Liverpool’s box at the end.

It’s so far beyond corrupt that I’d love to say I’m thinking of jacking it in but I’m pretty sure heroin would be easier to give up. I’ve not missed a game, home or away in around seven years.

So what do you do? We just sit here and take it like a good little prole.

I’ll tell you what though, if I’m ever diagnosed with something and don’t have long left, I’m heading round that **** Riley’s house.

We'll get some dodgy VAR decisions between now and the end of the season (probably startng today) just to keep it looking 'impartial'.

When we start to close the gap, they'll suddenly dry up again.

Agreed, no matter how obvious it becomes, I can’t stop supporting City or loving football.

I won’t let them take a lifelong source of pleasure and passion (very rare these days) away from me.

All of that said, the FA/PL/PGMOL can **** right off.

They will finish us off tonight, leaves them free to start on Brendan Rodgers and eventually Lampard.
Boxing day top of the table clash will be Var's chance to shine, at least we won't give a f++k by then.

Nah, they did that last season and we were immaculate ....they can’t take the chance again.
The only time we ever get a dodgy decision go our way is when we are 4 up and the games dead.

      This is beyond joke.

But Woland, why did you copy and paste all of that stupid shit into our lovely topic?

Because that was what was posted in just one topic (there are five active about us and / or corruption in the game on the fume right now) WHILE CITY WERE PLAYING CHELSEA.

They were more arsed about this than their own fucking match.

It's fine work,

I may do one of my GOT Bitter roundups soon.
Heh heh heh

One thing that I got confirmed during the Palace game is that Ox doesn't offer us anything on the wing. He's a CM/AM now and looks lost on the wing.
Honestly, I'm not overly impressed by any of our wing options. Shaq and Origi don't offer anything near to what Mane and Salah do.
I did say bring Elliott into the fold and I still stand by it. Either that or fucking sign someone, cause it's a problem area.

I was on reddit soccer during the week reading comments on some story, i don’t even remember what it was about, but some city fan was having a meltdown.

Out of interest i clicked on his profile and it turned out he was a 16/17 year old American. Nothing against his nationality but more his age and the keyboard warrior / troll nature of his comments, even on things non football. This profile has to make up the majority of bluemoons members.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand VAR. The VAR review is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the decisions will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also the ref's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his decision making - his personal philosophy draws heavily from The Athletic's literature, for instance. The Liverpool fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these decisions, to realize that they're not just correct- they say something deep about FOOTBALL. As a consequence people who dislike Liverpool truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the logic in VAR's existencial catchphrase "VAR NO GOAL," which itself is a cryptic reference to Wilson's football epic Inverting the Pyramid. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Martin Atkinson's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I DO have a PGMOL tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the managers' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 points of my own teams position (preferably lower) beforehand.

Me neither but it’s City we shouldn’t take for granted, not Leicester who have what an 8 game run?

City are double champions with 198 pts over 2 years.

Also claiming Leicester are a better side that won the league is insulting to the title winning side who held their nerve over an entire season.

This Leicester team are on a good run, with confidence high and playing well but they have a long way to go to prove them are a real threat.

Let’s seem them after a loss, a couple of poor displays or injuries.

I read the 1st sentence and spotted immediately where you've gone wrong. The morons runnig football are not intelligent in any way shape or form. Using any level of intelligence to understand the rules around VAR is a mistake. VAR has the potential to improve soccer, but the gobshytes running the game don't.

Var aside, The zaha miss at the end was hilarious. It was all set up for him and he skied it. Lucky escape

I'm with you on Elliot, I think he'd offer something.

All this fume and that we are lucky debate. In all most the games that people are saying that we are lucky we have dominated possession and had the most shots on target. It would be more apt to use the word 'lucky' is a team is under the cosh and getting battered and then somehow has a freak attack and scores subsequently winning the game, anyways enough ranting Id better get back to work here at Stockley Park, Atkinson trying to steal my cocaine again, I hate it when he does that!
