Mavinga can play CB and has blinding pace and nice height maybe we need to be employing a different teen.
Maybe Skrtel needs to be playing with Agger

Reina
Magic Carra Agger Mavinga???

Monster

Aquaman Gerrard

Ngog Riera

Torres

I think N'gog has done enough to earn a start even with Torres in the team. Let Torres actually be able to interchange with someone. Cause you know he is actually good as a supporting striker/wing forward role

I'd be surprised if that team ever played one game for us, nevermind lining-up like that from now on.

Actually, I'd be willing to wager that that team never ever starts for us.

It won't but its very tall for set pieces and very strong and very fast compared to what we put on now, and its all our players

But it won't happen, as you say, so really what's the point?

I feel like I've been through this before; Kuyt always plays.

Its one of the biggest reasons we have trouble beating up small teams, along with Lucas and to a lesser extent this year Monster

I just wish Rafa looked around and checked his team sprinting times to others

Only Gerrard & Torres have scored more than him in the last 3 years.

There's a reason why he's always picked.

So you've dropped Yossi on the basis that he's small? Are you Dave Bassett?

That's not much of a stat given that he's the only other striker we've had at the club for the past three years.

Apart from the abject, motionless Insua, I thought we defended a lot better yesterday. I'd like to see Aurelio back in for Insua and a settled back line for a run of games. We need to get back to enjoying defending again, which has been a big part of any success under Benitez.

He's deffo the keeper in my most hated Liverpool side of the last 10 years

Kirkland

Josemi
Pellegrino
Traore
Insua

Nunez
Lucas
Diao
Zenden

Morientes
Diouf

Obviously Shitandje is worse and a massive, massive cunt but I don't recall him playing many games
All fairly worthy choices. Personally I would be tempted to put Kromkamp in at right back and Traore or Vignal at left back but it doesn't make a huge difference.

Previously my most hated team would have included Le Tallec but I'm a bit scared saying so might land me on dantes' death list so I'll refrain

Anyone putting Insua on their 'most hated Liverpool-players list' at this stage have got more than one screw loose.

Apart from the fact that every time they had a set piece we looked likely to concede.

Last week we let Adebayor, city's best player in the air, have a free header. This week we left Tim Cahill, Everton's best player in the air, unmarked 6 yards out. Something needs to be done about this.

I don't hate him but he is rubbish. he was unluckly with his header though

Every set piece? Or just when Insua decided to stand like a statue?

Skrtel has been a massive weak link at set pieces this season. For a supposed big tough lad he's a shithouse in the air. I fully expect us to improve at set pieces with Carra and Agger as a settled pairing. It's not always about height but being brave and anticipation.

We sure did.

I do reckon most of that had to do with lack of self-belief rather than the talent in the backline. We looked strong and composed for most of the game in the back appart from when they attacked on set-pieces.

The effort for Jo's second disallowed goal were certainly very good defense-wise and one of the best examples I've seen all Season on why you'd go for a Zonal-defense rather than a man-marking one.

Anyways I'm sure the second consecutive clean-sheet will do wonders for confidence in the back, and it also seemed our players even managed to stay clear of more frustrating injuries.

Could you give a 20-year-old newly promoted Reserve-player who's been our only FIT left back for a few Months now more than a few month to settle?

He has scored a great goal against the arse, he almost scored against Everton yesterday and he's got quite a few assists already as well.

Yes, he's looked all over the place at times defensively, but it't not like he's been the only poor player in the back of late. To criticize him without looking at the broader picture - the state we've been in of late - isn't fair at all.

I've still got high hope for the young lad for one, depsite having a lot of work to in terms of improvement. The talent is there.

So shall we say about a year then?

I don't hate him actually. I don't think he is very good. But I don't hate him.

Maybe he isn't good enough. Time will tell.

I just can't see why anyone would 'hate him' mind. At least not at this early stage.

Unless of course they've got a screw loose. Or two even.
