Back to the arse... They're an unusual team in that, theoretically, I don't dislike them. I think the club is a good 'un, full of history and class, and the way they observed the minute's silence last week was wonderful. They're certainly the least objectionable of the big three in London.

That said, when they play, I find them highly unlikeable. Don't know if it's certain players or the constant whining and time wasting, the fact that Xhaka still playes for them, or what, but when I hear myself start to say 'I wouldn't mind them winning the league', something inside me screams 'YES YOU FUCKING WOULD!'.

I had no issues with Arsenal until they appointed themselves as some kind of arbiter of pure football under Wenger. Shouting hoof whenever we played against them. After that I found their bottling to be enjoyable.

Every time I whinge at Arsenal players and, ti be fair, their fan’ condescending attitude to football style, this always gives me a pause.

But you’re right, I’m not sure there’s just NOT another team I’d like to win the league if it’s not Liverpool. Full stop.

Yeah, kinda how I feel. I want City knocked off their high horses though and, in the likely absence of sanctions from the League, this is the best shot. Plus the idea of them winning a treble doesn't bear thinking.

On the other hand, if Arsenal were to completely implode after throwing the title away, might make it easier for us in future seasons. Especially if Spurs and Chelsea also drop off.

Actually, I'm quite the opposite on your city stance... If we're out of the competition, I "want" them to win everything (except Europe, of course). That way, people who used to pretend that city were saving football from us in the seasons we almost beat them, purely because they hate us, are forced to recognize how things really are now... They're the richest, they just keep adding the best players from everywhere and they're also cheats: We're in serious danger of becoming Germany or France, in terms of them always winning everything that matters and the rest of us fighting for scraps. So, for me, if we can't win because they're simply buying everybody - see they're now chasing Rice AND Jude? - then fuck it all.

I can see that perspective too. I keep going back and forth. As usual, I hope the terrorists win.

How on earth, with their incredible squad depth, does Gallagher start this game? He’s patently a couple of levels below top class and you’ve got the likes of Felix on the bench.

Ndombele loses the ball, Leao runs the length of the pitch and squares for Giroud, 0:1 Milan.

Madrid been very ordinary today. Should be a goal down.

Milan have Napoli's number, that's 3 wins (well 2 and a half) over them this month.

Anguissa and KIM suspended and 2 players going off injured didn't help.

Mason Mount gets 15 mins for Chelsea. Must have told them he’s off given he cant get into the team at all

Every Napoli shot goes over the bar. Sometimes teams seem to be hit with this mental epidemic - doing everything right in the build-up but consistently get under the ball when they need to finish.

Agree with this. Losing Donnarumma on a free transfer was hurtful but Maignan has been ace since joining.
