Luis Alberto, Suso and Lucas are tearing it up in Serie A. Iago Aspas and Balotelli became scoring machines in Spain and France.

Too bad for Napoli – they've played their best season since the Maradona days, but it's still not enough to dislodge the Juventus hegemony in Italy. Juve won the title with 91 points last season; this season they have surpassed that total already with 2 games to go.

Quite an achievement.

[article]A simple look at where they were versus where they are heading would suggest an awful lot. He has transformed the club and achieved his record eighth promotion with a very modest budget. The entire squad is estimated to have cost a shade over £18m, straddling the reigns of several managers. In the context of the Championship that ranks 15th, and only around £9m of that £18m was spent this season. The wage bill is midtable.

What Warnock has done is use his unparalleled knowledge of the division and transfer market to bridge the gap. Look at his starting XI yesterday against Reading - it featured five free transfers and a loan, taking in discarded gems like Junior Hoilett – nine goals this season - and the brilliant centre-back Sol Bamba,. Both were free agents. Also included were goalkeeper Neil Etheridge, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Callum Paterson – 10 goals this season after being repositioned from a defender – who all arrived for nothing. Brilliant bits of business.

The pre-season feeling was that they would have punched far above their weight by reaching the top six. To go up automatically is incredible, which is why Warnock calls it his greatest achievement by ‘an absolute mile’.[/article]

I wouldnt want Shawcross anywhere near our team. He cant defend besides in the air, cant run, cant pass and is a Manc cunt.
Not a chance in hell.

Fulham blow their chance at automatic promotion. Last time I checked - with 2 mins to go - Cardiff were 0-0 meaning Fulham only needed to win at 19th placed Birmingham to go up - but are losing 3-1.

Burton were on the verge of escaping relegation but Bolton have just scored 2 goals in a minute (87 & 88) to go ahead in their match and move 1 point ahead of them, PNE having just taken the lead against Burton 2-1. Tough luck.

Why are Swansea ball boys such cocks? I don't know if he was purposefully wound up by Gabbiadini but he shouldn't be speaking to the visiting team let alone pushing one of them.

Echoes of hazard

Southampton beat Swansea. This means Huddersfield need a point to stay up. Hopefully they get it tomorrow.
I seen they managed to hold city to a draw...that means they have hardened in defense. Does anyone know if Milner did sufficient damage to Hazard to keep him out of tomorrows game ? If so then good news.

That Swansea result might well be a good thing for us...

Now Huddersfield simply have to avoid defeat tonight at Chelsea and they stay up... that's plenty of incentive...fight for your lives Huddersfield!
