Plus they can still get Top 4 regardless of what happens tonight, they have three more games.

They could but it's pretty unlikely. Lose tonight and they're 3pts behind Chelsea and 2-5pts behind Arsenal (depending on their result). They really need to win to give themselves a good chance.

It's a horrible position to be in and if there was nothing at stake, I'd defo want to lose if I were them. But faced with the prospect of EL for a season? Nah.

I don't think it matters anyway. Try or not, they aren't good enough and City are going to win.

It's totally understandable.

I think the fact that it's City or Liverpool maybe makes the decision more complex (bit like us having to choose between United and Everton), but the majority hate us more than City, and if I had the choice between three points and a team I despised winning the league, I'd be conflicted too.

I have to disagree. Realistically they need something out of this game they get top 4. When there is anything at all to play for (which they do have) I don't think they should be conflicted (although the guy in the earlier post wasn't conflicted, he was adamant). No CL next season would be a huge blow for them in at least the medium term. Look at how long it took us to get back into it regularly.

If I had to choose between Utd & Everton winning the league (as if!!) I would actually prefer Everton to do it.

Not that I'd want Liverpool to throw a game for that though.

It is this "Fuck our CL chances" that amuses me most. It is interesting that they prefer those thursday- sunday games over the whole season over us winning a league triumph. However I understand the sentiments that they have better chances of proceeding in Europa League

Maybe. But, bad as Everton fans are now, can you imagine them as the club with vast reserves of money? Pompously preening how they are classier than everybody else. I think we'd dislike the 2 teams fairly equally.

I think they have given in to the fact that City can be excused for "buying the title" whereas we would actually have won it properly. They will not top our season in the forseeable future.

Has the title race been engineered? Ask bluefume...

PiGMOL have played a blinder for the dippers this season. Had it been a fair league we'd be champions by now with Spurs chasing us. Liverpool have had a huge hand up.

Always remember for PL chief scudamore saying the league will have s new winner every 6 years. How can he predict that if theres no one influencing that outcome? No one seems to want his job for some reason.

The simple answer is YES it should come as no surprise that utd`s demise came not at our hands but of sky not being able to control result via FA pressure and tv replays butchering Refs, , because along came a newcomer bt who supported liverpool or more importantly the american market, finding out who is cheating is very simple just look at penalties or more importantly when they come give 1 point for the first goal 2 for an equalizing goal and 3 for a winning goal, and likewise conceding goals on a minus level guess who comes out top and bottom of the top 6
Offside goals are a lot harder to judge but will most likely follow penalties with 1 exception good goals ruled off

I just googled it and it only appears on bluefume, so must be their own invention.
Fucked if I know what it is

Amusing. I have a mate that is fervent Utd fan. He's pretty cool normally but he's gone full retard. He whacked £200 quid on a City win and he's absolutely gleeful that they will scupper the redmens chances. Even at the expense of a Utd CL place. He reasons that no CL means most of the shite that plays for them will demand a move away. I have to say I agree. I'd be amazed (but delighted of course) if City drop points.

Fuck me! Some people are really weird.

Trouble with that argument for your Manc mate is that, with no CL, they'll have a job attracting anybody decent to replace the departing dross.

Shame innit. :vamp:

It's a bit of a myth that. They'll throw money around and get some names.

They got Falcao and Di Maria and a few others without CL.

Hmm. Look how those two turned out - and the Mancs weren't as deep in the doodoo then as they now appear to be. Let's wait and see.
