Googled it - Bingo from Banana Splits apparently. His smile is clearly offensive when compared to Pep's endearing scowl

That's quite funny to be fair.

It's pathetic, is what it is, an obscure reference to a decades-old kiddies' TV show that even those of us who were around at the time barely remember. The only reason I recall it is that my first serious GF was a fan of it, otherwise I doubt I'd have the foggiest. I could almost feel sorry for them 'coz this is all they've got.

Almost.

[article]May aswell give LiVARpool the title now. Two penalties last week and a red card this week when he was never getting the ball, it’s laughable. Really what is the point in this whole charade[/article]

[article]Keep calling him fuckin 'Trent' on the Sky app commentary....really is pathetic...[/article]

[article]Relying on a red card and goalkeeper mistake yet again.[/article]

[article]
New season, same jammy bastards. Two pens so far, one opponent pen missed, one opponent sending off and one opponent keeper fuck up for the umpteenth time. Yep Liverpool have started their season, unbelievable.[/article]

[article]Klopp is big Sam with better players. Just spam the fuck out of the opponents area and have a couple quick players to either dive or pick up rebounds.[/article]

[article]The thing is about this, all this is before we've kicked a ball. I'll make you these guarantees for the season;

1) We will not receive 2 penalties in the same game. Especially against a top 6 team.
2) We will not have an opposition player sent off against us in the first half at 0-0. Especially against a top 6 team
3) When we play Chelsea, Chilwell, Zayech Thiago Silva and Pulisic will all be playing.[/article]

[article]It's just odd in football, that if this was a pro cycling team the press/media would be accusing them of doping and reporters would be looking into it. Yet in football there doesnt seem to be the same attention paid to football teams. Can you imagine the out cry in cycling if one pro team had 63% of its team as asthmatics ?[/article]

[article]Standard Chartered are incriminated in these leaks for laundering money that was used to fund terrorism out of Jordan.

Given LFC’s vociferous opposition to “Arab blood money” in the sport, I expect they will be dropping their main sponsor in the coming days?[/article]

I knew this would come up on a forum where they stood by “leaked documents shouldn’t be used as evidence”.

This one though

1) We will not receive 2 penalties in the same game. Especially against a top 6 team.
2) We will not have an opposition player sent off against us in the first half at 0-0. Especially against a top 6 team

First one. Are Leeds a top six team?
Second one. This whole event literally happened in their favour against us.

Yep. Almost all that is pathetic.

The asthma thing though, is that true? If so it seems a bit obvious & transparent as a way to hide potential doping.

Its the classic in cycling and other long distance endurance sports. @Rosco probably has a few thoughts on it.

I know rowers who got therapeutic use exemptions (TUE) and pretty much every pro cyclist is on it. Some claim it is a byproduct of their job i.e. heavy exertion mixed often with dust/pollen/other crap they cycle in. But they clearly give an advantage so you are actually disadvantaged in these sports by not having it, which is where it problems start to emerge.

Mmm, quite na interesting topic actually, it appears elite sports player have a much higher percentage of 'exercise induced asthma' but most clubs don't test for it, although Liverpool have done so more than most.

Modo put up a link the other day where someone Russian based, who was advertising a Podcast (with almost no followers) made the same claim. I couldn't see anyone legitimate making the same claim though after a quick search.

They made some laughably pathetic claim about the article being accepted by an academic journal too (presumably to make it look credible), but they wanted 2k to print it.

EDIT: I should say, as someone who works in a University, the laughable bit isn't the fee or the idea of it being accepted, it's the idea that it gives it more credibility. Some journals will accept anything as long as they get their fee. There was one a year or two ago that had an article accepted that was written by autocorrect.

The Mail is lauding Klopp for showing "class" when telling his staff they shouldn't have been gloating when Christensen was sent off.

I don't recall any mention of his lack of class when being an ungracious loser or lying about rival clubs.

Who needs a rich owner when your Liverpool and can raise 50- 100m every summer selling all your players surplus to requirement ........ everyone loves to help them out..FFS. Expecting grugic to go for 20m along with harry Wilson around the same figure.

[article]KDB is far too good for this team. I genuinely think he should move on and stake his place amongst the worlds best, because we certainly aren't anywhere near being the best[/article]

And a reply

[article]Thing is, there aren’t many great teams. Barca and Real are both crap. There’s only really Liverpool and Bayern at the top right now.
[/article]

That must hurt.

Giving up after 180 minutes. The fans are just like the players. Spineless.

[article]Yep, total decline. It’s not a new thing though, it’s been there for a while. We should be under no illusions here, we are competing with Rags, Chelsea, Arsenal, Leicester, Spurs, Wolves, Everton etc for the top 4. Liverpool are in a league of their own and none of us are even remotely close to them.
