Yeah, I think the issue is more that Ox and Keita can't be relied on to stay fit, I'm not that sold on Jones yet, while Milner is 72 and pushing on a bit.
Plus we need a reliable ever-present attacking player in the middle. Ox and Keita can do that but we shouldn't be heading into the season pinning any hopes on them whatsoever. And if Ox is being earmarked as playing the Bobby role, that more or less rules him out anyway.
Harvey Elliott might be the answer, but we really won't know until he plays against Premiership opposition regularly. When you think that City have so many players who are further down the line in terms of experience, while still having youth on their side, we are really struggling in that department. They have Mahrez, De Bruyne, Foden, Sterling, Gundogan and Bernardo Silva who can all float between the lines. We're relying on Ox, Keita and Elliott. That's a massive gulf in class AND numbers.
