Midweek CL Games

Both fair points, but European midweek games have definitely effected the following league games so far this season, so a tiring match with a tight scoreline has at least a chance of that happening again.

"affected", no?

I ignored it in your previous post (effect/affect), but twice leaves me thinking you'd appreciate a correction, or that I have been wrong for a long time.

No, it is I that is wrong. Twice no less.

I do know the correct usage, but I often get it wrong, I usually correct it myself should I proofread, which I didn't this time!

Barca were weakened yesterday - no Pique, no Alba (i.e. no real outlet on both sides ... they really miss Alves), no Iniesta ... but take nothing away from City ... They pressed brilliantly and could have easily won by more goals.

That second half performance from City was impressive. Barca gave away so much space.
If Gomes scores that chance for 2-2 instead of the bar it might have gone differently mind.

Not sure ... Barca were giving up the ball so much - and City were breaking on them non-stop.

Sterling looked good but he looks even worse as a finisher than he did with us. No confidence in that department.

I enjoyed watching the Citeh game from a neutral standpoint. Keeping the likes of Neymar, Suarez and Messi relatively quiet was impressive.

Aubameyang is not part of Dortmund's squad tonight, because of "internal reasons". #bvb

How shit is Sissoko for Spurs?
Knew he would flop but didn't think he would be this bad.

What has happened to Dele Alli? A bit overrated?

He's a quality footballer. Not sure why you think that. He scored 10 goals from midfield last season, and has three so far this season

That's the same amount in total as Firmino last year, and only one less so far this season, and he isn't even playing as a striker

Janssen, on the other hand, is fucking shite

Looking like Seville won't retain there europa league title this season for the fourth time

You somehow managed to get Firmino in to this thread as well

Nope he's very good.
Still wish we signed him.
Apart from the defence this whole Spurs performance has been shambolic.

Yeah, I guess. Just that there seem to be something about his attitude that will stop him becoming an excellent player.
