Man Utd... What is it about them that make us hate them so much ?

Things like this:

Darren Fletcher could still play in the Champions League final.

The Manchester United midfielder was sent off in their semi-final second leg for a foul on Cesc Fabregas, thus incurring an automatic ban for the final against Barcelona in Rome.

UEFA rules state a player or club can only appeal against such a decision on the grounds of mistaken identity, but there may be some hope for Fletcher and United.

The S*n quotes UEFA general secretary David Taylor as saying:

"I've spoken with Alex Ferguson personally on this - as fate would have it we shared a car after the match. We had an interesting discussion.

"He was very fair about the referee but equally was very disappointed for Darren, as are we all.

"Strictly speaking there is no appeal process but representation can be made.

"If the club want to write to us with information - such as video evidence - explaining why they think this is a harsh punishment then they can do that.

"The likelihood is we'd refer it to our disciplinary body. They would then look to see if there were any special circumstances to justify any departure from established procedures."

This is a joke. Right?

Hilarious. Was Ginsoak waiting in the darkness on the back seat with a silencer on his gun? 'Just look forward and drive, laddie, until we get to somewhere quiet...'

Another reason they are cunts is because of fans of theirs:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8036367.stm

A Kenyan fan of English football club Arsenal has hanged himself after his team's defeat by Manchester United.

The north London club was beaten 3-1 in the European Champions League semi-final second leg on Tuesday evening.

Suleiman Omondi, 29, who was watching in a bar in the capital, Nairobi, was incensed by the club's poor showing.

He left at half-time after arguing with a Manchester United fan and was found hanging from a rope in his house, still dressed in an Arsenal shirt.

'Broke down'

The BBC's Josphat Makori in Nairobi says the unprecedented incident has shocked football fans in Kenya.

According to his friends, Mr Omondi was in good spirits at the beginning of the match and even when Arsenal conceded the first goal, he did not seem to be affected.

He was so angry that he left in a rage

Eyewitness
But things changed when the team conceded a second goal 11 minutes into the game.

A woman, who sat next to him in the bar, said Mr Omondi was so disappointed by Arsenal's poor performance that he broke down during half-time.

Another eyewitness told journalists that it was at this point that a Manchester United fan started taunting him.

"Suleiman got hold of him angrily by the neck and started pressing him so hard," he said.

"We quickly intervened and asked him to stop. Suleiman then stopped but he was so angry that he left in a rage."

His body was found on Wednesday morning.

Police officer David Bunei told the BBC the incident was being investigated.

I have always hated them. Its not so much 'them', its more the media obsession with them and the attitude of their fans that irks me.

I used to wish nothing but the very very worst for Ferguson but as time has gone on I have started to hate him less I have to say.
Same with some of their players and former players. The likes of Neville, Bruce, Robson, Ferdinand, Ronaldo and Bobby Charlton can still fuck off and die for all I care but I have no real issue with people like Giggs, Scholes, Mark Hughes, Schmeichel and a few others. Its just a shame they play or played for United really.

The media have fawned over them for years too. Even when they were shit I believe.
The one thing that really irks me about modern football is the Sky attutude that football started with the Premier League, and United seem to sum this up.
It seems almost as if those years when other teams were winning and they were just getting ready to retake their rightful place at the top. Whether this arrogance was there before, or has been encouraged by the media I don't know, but its there and it irritates!

Then there's the fans. Oh, the fans. Complete fucking cunts basically.
I am sure there are some very nice United fans around who really know their stuff, have been going for years and are ready to take criticism and defeat and discuss it sensibly
However, the ones I have met are not like that.

A few examples of this: There is a fella here at work, clearly a complete fucking cock anyway even before I knew he was a United fan. I got into a discussion with him about football last year. His knowledge was fairly limited but all he would discuss was how great United are and how shit Liverpool are. He claimed they had won more titles ("you can't include before the Premier League&quot😉 and they had won more Champions Leagues ("it doesn't count before&quot😉.
He claimed Anfield was shit with no atmosphere ("no, I haven't been but you can tell from the telly&quot😉 and Old Trafford was wonderful ("I've been there once!" he proclaimed proudly. So you fucking should have been you fucking cunt! If you live in the same country as the team you support its really a minumum requirement!!).
And a more recent example. I was at a party the other week and met an Aussie fella. We started talking about football. He was a United fan. I decided not to get in a row - I didn't know that many people there and had only just arrived - so I generally accepted what he said.
However, as the conversation wore on - we went through how they were going to equal our CL record this season (er, not quite pal) and how much he hated all of our players and none of them would ever get in the United team - he exclaimed that he really enjoyed laughing at Liverpool. "what is there to laugh at Liverpool about?" I said, "we've won more than you and we're top of the league". "Hillsborough" he said. I walked away after that. Shocking.

Fair play. I don't think I could have restrained myself from at least giving him a mouthful.
You know when you just feel the rage building up? I got that, and I knew I couldn't speak to the cunt again but I didn't want to get into a full blown argument or a fight in someone else's house. Apart from anything else it was still quite early on......

I salute you, sir. That kind of self-control is exactly what some (not all TBF) of the Chavs didn't show last night.

I personally hate them for both footballing and non footballing reasons.

I hate the arrogance of the city and their desperation be the number one city in the north. I hate the fact they think their class - which just demonstrates how lacking in class they are.

I hate their team because of their fans and their manager and plenty of their players. As has been mentioned any fans who think Ronaldo is the greatest ever after two seasons or that Cantona is the greatest ever when they've got players like Best in their history are fools. I also hate them because they've been a little bit bloody good over the last 20 years.

Finally I don't agree that our team of the 80's would kill them - quite the reverse. It would depend on the ball being used but the mancs of today playing in this environment would destroy us from the early 80's. But put these Ronaldo's, Rooney's, Berbatov's etc back in the 80's and they'd be lucky to come out of the game in the same profession. I'll say I also have a great deal of respect for them; exceptionally well run club, incredibly good manager and a sensational team. Which makes me just hate them all the more.

When in gods name are they going to fall from grace?
Its fucking boring seeing them win win fucking win..

Its got to be when Fergie retires..
I really don't want him to retire. I want him to witness Dalglish beating him again.
I want one of our last games next season to be at Old Trafford, with us only needing a draw to win the title.
So we can parade that trophy in front of the Man U supporters.

What are you guys smoking?! Wanting Ferguson to stay? Wanting the race to go down to the last few games? Wanting us to need a point at Old Toilet? Are you stark raving crackers?

I want the old sod gone, so they have the problem of replacing him, and I want us (not saying I expect this to happen, but it'd be my dream scenario) to have sewn the title up with a number of games to go, so if we DO then play at Old Toilet we're already champions. Never mind the revenge bit, the showing off, any of that - I want no.19 and I'd prefer not to have a heart attack along the way, thanks very much.

i hated utd almost instintively, from before they were successful. i had no good reason to - i think maybe i just picked up from the intensity of the games against each other that this was a serious rivalry (talking 90/91 kind of time). i also really hated the look of some of their players, particularly mark hughes who looked like a twat and paul ince who looked like a gollywog doll.

Where is Ferguson's replacement?
Where is Giggs replacement? Scholes?
These cunts can't go on forever and when they do eventually fuck off, they'll slide.
Even Mourhino couldn't follow Ferguson.

Exactly, who cares about them? They need 1 pt to win 19, well done to them if they do. They deserve it on account that they got the most points at the end of the season.

When we win our 19th (and I'm favouring next season) then I'll celebrate that WE won, not be engrossed by any other team.

I used to hate United mostly because of their dominance, but recently it's more down to the fact that the majority of their players are a right load of cunts.

They're not that. They've just been better than us off the field, and sometimes on the field.

Reading that book this weekend, I realize they didn't leap ahead, we FELL asleep. We weren't outclassed off the field, we were just SHITE off it. Rafa's best XI was as good as if not better than Man U's. This Man U team is not much better that our poorest side in a decade under Roy. I put their success down to Fergie, and the off the field riches.

And if anything, we've gifted them that perch.

But no more. The script is written. Great owners, great manager, the stage is set for number 19. I don't feel like I am kidding myself this time.

They are classless cunts.

Period.

End.of.story.

Lock thread.
Do they , as a club, have less class than say errrr Chelsea?

regards
